Definitely a gem

Where else in Cannes are you recognised and welcomed with a huge smile after a six-months absence? Here, that is. Unlike other reviews, I didn't find the place a "gem". Food was rather luke warm and the vegetables were reheated - the sort of stuff you get in the works canteen.

Called in for lunch and found a French gem. A perfect example of what a French restaurant should be - friendly service and excellent well cooked and presented food. Why couldn't we have found this earlier in our holidays?

Shown to our table in a timely way....full of French locals....very varied menu and interesting twists on some dishes. The Foie as a starter was excellent. The main course was quite a large amount, and I opted for the cold filet mignon......just delightful with a tasty salad and superb dressing. I had ordered a glass of champagne as a surprise... More

I can see why La Meisouniere has received such glowing reviews. The food is delicious, the value good, and the service very friendly. I had a snapper filet and my wife had the onglet, and we could not have been happier. Excellent wine list as well. This is a bistro that attracts custom on the basis of good food and... More

Well worth the decent reviews received through Tripadviser. Food was excellent and service was good too. Booking recommended. There are limited tables outside and, as we didn't book we had to have a table inside.

Armed with a great Michelin rating, we decided to check out this restaurant, and as the rating suggested, it was great!! Our waiter, Philip was humorous, interactive, prompt and an excellent host for our dining experience. The food was delicious from the chicken coconut-curry special to the scallop entree but the most fun was around deciding on dessert. With an... More

The kind of gems that it is great to find on here. I might have thought it was a cute brasserie walking by, but the food is so much more. I now always go at least 2 or 3 times vert time I visit Cannes. Great mix of French classics with some subtle Asian influence in the way the chef... More

We had a very nice dinner and evening at La Meissouniere. The service was very good, polite but with an edge and a sence of humor. For starters we had Bourgogne Snails & Marrow bones on Poilâne toast. The snails were perfectly cooked and therefore very soft and delicious. The marrow bones was a very nice and big portion. We... It's off the beaten path but eating here will be well worth your while. Claire, the owner and her staff make you feel at home and offer unbelievable down home, high end cuisine. Her Salmon Tartar is better than any in the area and the rib eye for two with bone morrow is an unreal experience. It's a quaint restaurant... More
