Another excellent evening

My wife and I again visited L'Affable in Cannes on May 20, 2015. As usual we were met by super friendly employees and we felt at home immediately - and we are regular guests when we visit Cannes 6-7 times a year. The dinner was superb, fois, prawns with rice and coco, curry sauce and the famous... read more

Friday lunch, booked a week or two before... greeted warmly by Natalie, Lara, and the team. Started with a glass of Champagne, then Beignet of Courgette Flowers, mains of Aoili, and followed by their speciality of "Grand Marnier Soufflé. All impeccably served, and each taste a delight, the usual bottle of house Rose accompanied lunch. Will we re-visit? Already booked!

I'd heard a lot about this restaurant as one of the standouts on Cannes and was nervous it would be all full-on rich sauces and foie gras. Instead it was an impeccable and unpretentious dining experience. The food was thoughtfully produced with a variety of options for all tastes. I particularly enjoyed my artichoke starter but the lamb main was... More

Nestled in a quite street, is a magical culinary gem. A last minute decision sent us there, a very warm welcome and we were ushered to our table with a view of the busy kitchen. Waiter was very knowledgeable of the different wines and his recommendations were great. We settled for the A La Carte as opposed to the set... More

Classy, cosy and friendly restaurant with top quality food. I must state that I have never eaten snails and decided to try them here which was a mistake because I just don't like snails, not even bathed in Beluga caviar while sipping a glass of Don Perignon so the restaurant is not to blame for my personal bad choices. I... More

hidden in the smaller streets of Cannes, you will find this almost perfect gem. Almost perfect, because, to put it bluntly, there way too many tables (thus couverts) in this not so spacious but very well decorated restaurant. My family had beef, duck and lobster pasta. They were all sensational and beautifully served. Waiting time was surprisingly short for the elaborate meal. My daughter had the lobster ravioli, probably the best she has ever had. The apple tart was excellent, we saw the chef literally slicing up the apple. Highly recommended is the Souffle! We were the first... More

I have visited here a number of times and never disappointed. Portion sizes are generous. The presentation is okay but the food tastes good and is well seasoned. Good value!

Light and airy atmosphere puts you in a good frame from the start. The service is as good as you would expect with some older staff who really know their stuff, polite and efficient. The food is very good and the menu varied, as is the wine list (although wines possibly a bit expensive end for good stuff). We booked... More
