Step back in time to eat at this "old" Cannes favourite. Walking up the narrow street to this venue is a treat in itself. the tiny street is filled with bars, restaurants, all brimming with life. Entering the dark cave and being squeezed into one of the small tables is fun and certainly felt like we were experiencing a traditional... More

Heard that the chicken entree was excellent but since my fiancé and I do not eat meat we were served an omelette for our main. I think Maschou is amazing if you eat meat but stay away if you don't. Try Gavroche up the street instead.

This is a restaurant that seems to divide opinion and I think you'll either like the place a great deal or you won't like it much. It's a good fun place and we visited for dinner with some friends and their sons who were in their late teens and this youthful input enhanced our evening: this is definitely not a... More

It's always a pleasure to eat in this very tiny atmospheric restaurant. You have to book well ahead to get a reservation especially in the summer but it is worth the wait. The meat is all cooked in a wood fired oven and the large vegetable basket is fantastic. We have come here with family and friends for many years... More

This place is just grand period. With vegetables that would make Bugs Bunny and Roger Rabbit very happy. The meats are cooked to perfection and the wine list fantastic. The service is great! The decor... It's just wonderful!

I went to this restaurant following your recommendations. Everything was perfect: the food, the nice staff and the place itself made our dinner unforgettable.

I have visited this restaurant on each visit to Cannes.I think the staff, the ambience and the food are all excellent. The glass of sangria is a very nice welcome, the oven toasted bread is absolutely delicious and the crudités and dips very French. All the meats are delicious and served with a smile. Not to mention the desserts! They are... More

Food - excellent, though the veggie basket was overwhelming. Loved the toasted bread and since there were three of us, we ordered all three mains and got to share. Each one - lamb, steak, chicken - were outstanding. Service - we hilariously got a table after there were two last minute no shows. The maitre d was funny about it... More

There is a special place in the city of Cannes, France, which is simply outstanding. After 50 years, 30 of them owned by Alain Viotti and now managed by his son Emmanuel, Le Maschou is one of the finest restaurants in the world and the best in Cannes. From the large basket of fresh veggies, oven-toasted fresh bread, the finest... More

Having heard about this restaurant from some family who had previously visited, it was even better! Such a gorgeous cosy retaurant with lovely lighting. Young, attentive and such very pleasant staff. Menu apparently the same for many years. Great idea, keep it simple and of the highest standard. Choice of chicken, beef or lamb and all cooked to perfection. Superb... More
