Our friends took us to this cracking restaurant on the water front were they frequently dine and I must say it was great, a brilliant menu, very friendly staff and the food was great, I’d definitely go back there and I plan to.

Picked this place out of many at the beach street in Cagnes-sur-mer. Food was great, nice pichet of rose, but the service was average. Go there if you have extra time.
Looking for a great steak this is definitely the place to go. Facing the beach with not only great food but a great ambiance we picked this for steak and we were not disappointed. A nice carafe of wine and a large beer along with...perfectly cooked steaks meant an excellent meal for an affordable price. A whiskey and Cognac afterwards and we could stroll the promenade home knowing we found a jewel in the area that we would return to if ever in the area again in the future - which is likely!More
A second visit here showed the restaurant in a different light. I chose the Daube Nicoise as it was chef recommended on the menu of a restaurant that prided itself on its meat. Big mistake. The meat should have been trimmed of fat and gristle...but no, that was left to you, at least 20% of the "meat" was inedible, horrible. I have rarely had such a disgusting cut of meat, for 18 euro, terrible. My wife's chicken salad was equally cynically prepared, a couple of slices of I guess a supermarket chicken wing, no flavour, skin left on. The service was impeccable, the ambiance perfect, but the food preparation and chef in the kitchen was the worst meal I have had here in many years, avoid like the plague, here are much better choices in Cagnes, forget the Grill du Boucher, no sympathy.More
Kind but resolute staff. It is beyond me why I couldn't get a small portion, that are categorized as 'for under 10 years old'. The customer clearly does not come first. The food is okay.
Situated opposite the Riviera in a modest sized restaurant with tables outside. Mussel starter was gorgeous and the bread and french fries accompanying it super (we halved a main course). We both then had a sirloin steak, slightly hard work negotiating around the fat but...the meat itself was juicy and well cooked. Pepper sauce and mushroom sauces a little bland but overall an acceptable meal which was served with a smile and a very nice waitress happy to speak English !More
It advertises as a specialist steak restaurant and it didn't disappoint. We had excellent filet steaks. They were large and cooked perfectly.
I was disappointed with my choice of steak. It came with lovely creamy potatoes and ratatouille (the best part of the meal). I was expecting a better steak. It was tough and fatty. My husband chose the sausage casserole which he said was tasty and...good. The waitress was really nice and found us a lovely table away from smokers (this is a rarity in France we have found). I would like to give it another try. Maybe a different choice of steak.More
This little town is right next to the Airport in Nice France, so you can actually watch the planes landing from the patio of most restaurants. Although i just had a Mozzarella salad and Tiramasu for desert. I watch many meals being delivered and devoured...with big smiles on the diners faces. The favorite meal of the evening was the T Bone steak and salad and fries..looked delicious. After over a month on the road and a 13 day cruise on celebrity to London, I keep thinking I will never eat again, but another day another restaurant and another great experience. I truly love traveling and dining the wait staff was very efficient and pleasant and the big Boss in the blue T-shirt was on the patio keeping an eye on all the happy diners. Still wishing there were designated non smoking on the Patios in France, that is disappointing to always have to sit inside to enjoy your food free of smoke!More
You know you're in the right place when on a windy Tuesday lunchtime you pass empty restaurants only to enter here and find it packed with locals. Good homemade pasta and sauces. The veal Milanese served with linguine was excellent.
A great little spot to lunch and watch the sea and the passerby's. A really good Tartar menu with several offerings. Escalope Milanese was a hit. 2 mains, 2 X 1/llitre of Rose (It was a Sunday!) 1 dessert & 2 cappuccino 65 Euro. Very...reasonable for the quality & quantity!More
I have been eating here for a long time and find it quite good. The onglet steak is usually very tender It comes with Jacket potato and sour cram or French fries. You also get ratatouille and sauce. There is a good choice of pichet...wine which is not expensive. Good desserts-I recommend carpaccio of pineapple with rum and ice cream The only down side is it is close to the road but I do not want to eat indoorsMore
We went to this restaurant 3 times last summer as we enjoyed it so much and were really looking forward to returning but unfortunately were disappointed. My wife and I had the entrecôte, both of which were very tough and fatty - hardly a good...advert for a steak / meat restaurant - we will not be returning.More
We started the evening looking to have a steak meal and returned to this restaurant having not been for a while. The decor is comfortable although seating is tight. The menu is limited but with a good range of beef steak and veal escallop. We...chose an entrecôte and a filet steak both rare served with jacket potato and sour cream and the other with chips. The food was delicious and served quickly although the main drawback was the waitress who was inattentive and preoccupied. Whilst pouring wine at 15e half bottle, she was talking to other tables and taking little care. Our meal for 2 main couses with wine as above but no starter or desert cost 62e.More
Terrible. Horrible. Disgusting service. We were a family of 5, 4 adults one child of 6yrs old (English speaking) and we asked for tap water to start as we had come from a long drive. The lady serving us had to ask several times to...clarify.. Trying to push sparkling water on us instead. Hesitantly she brought us tap water is a reused bottle. We noticed while sitting there that there was wifi at the restaurant and asked for the password.. She immediately said no. We are assuming that after these two requests they decided we were not worthy of decent service.. We ordered red wine, 2 sirloin steaks and 2 ravioli cheese dishes as well as a kids meal, when our food arrived we received 2 flank steaks, 1 cheese ravioli and 1 mushroom ravioli.. And COLD red wine!! Because we are relatively pleasant people and were not sure how this area of France serves food and wine we didn't immediately complain.. After tasting all of our meals however we were very disappointed.. And then the servers were nowhere to be seen so we could voice our opinions of the incorrect meals. Since they were not interested in responding or fixing our complaints.. We did not finish our meals and the 4 of us left and 1 stayed to just ask for the bill. He had to ask 3 times.. The first time she said yes she would bring it and then went to the outskirts of the restaurant patio to smoke.. We asked again and she said yes and disappeared for more then 10 minutes.. The final time he had to get up from the table and walk to the back of the restaurant and ask for the bill. They never asked how the food was or the service and when we said how terrible they treated us the pretended not to understand English at all. We paid and left. We visited several spots in south france on our vacation.. Cannes, Nice, Eze, Cassis, Troyes even Paris and Monaco and experienced civilized service. I would never recommend this place, especially to English speaking people.More
