This restaurant does not have an attractive, nor a welcoming environment. Furthermore, one gets the distinct impression that nothing here is as it should be. We popped in on our way to Nice Airport, and our only disappointment was that we wish that we had more time to savour this wonderful place. A pleasent surprise was this ambitious restaurant. However, as other visitors comment here, having made a quick calculation on the weight and price of the fresh fish offered we realized we should tur to the menu. Good food, ambitious, but the menu should also include a couple of less costly alternatives.

We didn't have a la carte, just the lunchtime menu. Fried calamari for entre, just plain ordinary for either choices of a piece of fish or duck fillets (a bit too pink and rare) for the main course. Well what can we say, if you like quality over price you are at the right location. We took the Royal plate and enjoyed the food all the way. When the two of us arrived there were only four other people in the Resaurant, probably due to it being a French bank holiday evening and was quite everywhere. I love high quality "spéciales" oysters. If you do too, this is the place to go. Good service, good wine by the glass, and nice surroundings. I haven't tried anything else there, but something tells me I will soon...

The ambiance is nice and interestingly designed, with an open area on a multilevel. Actually it's a nice solution because even with a full restaurant the noise is low. We were staying at a local hotel and came across this restaurant by chance. We booked for an evening meal & felt welcome immediately on arrival. Excellent staff who explained the menu & guided us to an amazing meal. Would always make a detour to have a meal here. Try it.
