This is a super place for combining people-watching with great fresh seafood. It's a family run restaurant on the main ocean front Cote d'Azur thoroughfare. The family owns its own fishing boat and serves up its own catch daily. The food is subperb. We went for lunch and enjoyed a leisurely 3 hours of outdoor dining and people watching in... More

Spent 8 days touring the French Riviera from Menton to St Tropez. Found this restaurant in Cagnes sur mer where we were based. Stood out from all others - service, expertise, FOOD and surroundings. Very, very impressive. Attention to detail was faultless. Highly recommended.

This family-run restaurant runs very well, very professional, and serves very good sea-food in a fairly traditional setting, if you discount the art on the walls. It is not particularly cheap, but as the quality is generally very good, it is worthwhile and fair value for money. Wine list is not that extensive, but good enough - saves a lot... More

Classic oyster bar of Cote D'Azur, pleasant, crowded and chatty atmosphere where to taste the best oysters and great grilled loabsters or giant soles. Pricey but worthwhile, much better than similar spots in Nice

We came at night looking for a nice dinner. Was hard to decide where to seat because most of the open restaurant were almost empty. The staff did not welcomes us so nice, but was late and we decided to stay. It was worth because the the fish that we ordered was very good cooked and taste, the Nicoise salad... More

Seafood foodies will be happy about this place. Very good bouillabaisse and my wife enjoyed her oysters. Very good wine even if a bit pricy. Too few people for the service and not necessarily welcoming. In any case, the food was so good. We will go back to the place!

Visited this restaurant on spec and shared a fish platter. Whilst this was a big meal, it wasn't particularly memorable; unfortunately the same cannot be said for the service which was particularly poor and arrogant. With a half bottle of average wine the bill came to €102 - not considered good value.

Rude staff, expensive, Very average food. would not go back ever. Our debit card would not work the waitress almost threw it at us, we ask to try again as we knew it was fine .She reluctantly tried again huffing and puffing making us feel like we were trying to pull a fast one, Once it worked we walked out... Our hosts took us straight from the airport for lunch at Charlot 1er. They chose a fantastic array of small dishes that were individually served - I think there were 9 in total. Fresh prawns, squid, deep fried courgette flowers (my favourite), roasted vegetables, salmon, asparagus with aioli, tuna & artichokes. Absolutely delicious!

I never had eaten such a great sea food out of Japan. My friend invited me to try boillabaisse here. And I was not expecting anything special. I am a Japanese and we have variety of sea food and I believed Japanese sea food is the best in the world till then. But this soup was extremely nice!!! I think... More
