This is a restaurant worth returning to. Consistently the very best fish properly prepared with mouth watering tartare sauce. This occasion we shared the 42€ fish plate that was very generous and wonderful. A great selection including whole grilled Dorade, Trawl fish, scallops, calamari, red mullet, prawns. We visited again and were delighted with the quality of the food. Do not expect to be bowed in and out as you are likely to be disappointed. The waiting staff are very stiff but the food is really why you should visit. We started with Calamari which was good to share and followed with Turbot. There is no choice... More

The location in front of the sea is just marvelous as for the rest...... to be discussed. This restaurant is living from a past glory!!!! The food might be good but not excellent! Nothing special which is very expensive!!!!!! At lunch time they are in a hurry to close at 2. pm, thus you are not comfortable at all. The... More

First, it was our mistake when we arrived at this restaurant having looked at the internet at the wrong place just a few miles down the road, so I was confused about the menu. But, we wanted fish/seafood so we thought we would be just as happy at this place. The confusion really got us off to the wrong start... More

I had very good memories of this restaurant several years back. Location is outstanding but the food we were served was nothing worth remembering. Let me say it was ok in general, but it lacked the special taste some of the restaurant in the French or Italian riviera are able to offer. The bill was slightly on the high side,... More

Everyone told us this was a terrific place for fish looking out over the sea in Cagnes sur Mer. We beg to differ. The restaurant might well have been good in the past but something has clearly gone wrong. We were served a very bad meal by waiters who seemingly could not have cared less. The 'petite friture' (baby fried fish)... More

Despite the sea-front view, the white linen, the excellent wine-list and the regular staff I found myself wondering last week if I would continue my tradition of eating here going back to 2001. It is now E42 per person for the large plateau des poissons and while the palangre (hake) is good, the dorade is farmed and apart from a... More

This is a super place for combining people-watching with great fresh seafood. It's a family run restaurant on the main ocean front Cote d'Azur thoroughfare. The family owns its own fishing boat and serves up its own catch daily. The food is subperb. We went for lunch and enjoyed a leisurely 3 hours of outdoor dining and people watching in... More

Spent 8 days touring the French Riviera from Menton to St Tropez. Found this restaurant in Cagnes sur mer where we were based. Stood out from all others - service, expertise, FOOD and surroundings. Very, very impressive. Attention to detail was faultless. Highly recommended.

This family-run restaurant runs very well, very professional, and serves very good sea-food in a fairly traditional setting, if you discount the art on the walls. It is not particularly cheap, but as the quality is generally very good, it is worthwhile and fair value for money. Wine list is not that extensive, but good enough - saves a lot... More
