Good food and service

Food here is very good, service ok too. Nicer in summer when you can sit outside, the inside is way to bright in the evening, but it's a solid spot for lunch. Pastas, pizzas, and even the couscous are all very good. Would have four stars if it were the for the heavily lit dining room.

waitress was nice, tables properly served but I had the worst pizza in my life, this restaurant helped me to extend my scale for horrible meals.. cannot imagine where the ingredients came from but either it was some local speciality or vegetables were from preservers and the dought was burned away like coal.. and good hint - do not taste... Chanced upon this restaurant as it was very close from our holiday apartment on our first night in the area and we noticed it was near capacity with a lot of what looked to be local people. I plumped for the paella royal, my wife had the mussels Roquefort and our daughter had a pizza margherita. All were superb and... More

We had been at this place several time since the food is pretty good. Highly recommendable are tajin, cous cous and the paella. Our daughter had several time pasta, also pretty well. Service in principal not good, especially the owner is in permanent hectic and obviousely interested in the money you will pay. Situation much better out of season. Place... More

Walked in today at around 14.30 - outside the normal serving time for most French restaurants but it was advertised as being contual service. We were desperately hot and needed a drink and food. A male, could have been the owner or chef, was sitting shirtless in the restaurant eating a pizza, whilst a young woman seemed to be stacking... More

Special San Marino pizza with egg is one of the best I ate. As a "plat du jour" it is just 9 euro. If you want to stop and give a break in Cagnes by the seaside, highly recommended.

This lovely place was right down from our rental in Cagnes sur Mer. The food was wonderful and plentiful for the price. I had on of their many couscous dishes and there is no way I could have finished it. The tureen they brought out with the broth and vegetables to spoon over the couscous was incredible and delicious. The... More

I have eaten here before so we decided to eat here again as it was on the Promenade in Cagnes sur Mer and were able to park the car in the area. We wanted to eat fish and although plenty of choice the menu formulas were not that cheap. Read carefully the selection before making your choice. The service is... More

We had occasion to eat lunch at San Marino on a bright, sunny spring day. We chose to eat outside and risk the smell of cigarette or cigar smoke in addition to the automobile fumes. We got lucky and this particular lunch hour wasn't too bad. My husband and I opted for the couscous special (one merguez and one brochette... More

This was once a fantastic restaurant for seafood as well as Middle Eastern type food - it isn't now! In an area where there is so much choice, don't go for this overpriced option.
