It was a last minute decision to try Josy-Jo on our drive back to Nice from Cannes. We'd read about it and thought it sounded worth the slight detour. On arrival we were pleased. It was a lovely looking restaurant and quite idyllic. Unfortunately, though, that's where any positives end. To start I ordered 'warm octopus salad'. It arrived stone... More

We recently visited this restaurant on the recommendation of a good friend who knows someone who lives in Cagnes-sur-mer. The food did not disappoint. The wine that was recommended by the waitress was a perfect accompaniment to the meal. The fish was mouth-watering and dessert was delicious. Yes, it is expensive, but this is a highly rated restaurant and compared... More

Good (but pricey) food and nice atmosphere but we were disappointed by customer service. The waiters were nice and service during dinner was good. However the bill came with a 70 euros charge for a bottle of wine that we never ordered. OK, errors can happen (it's always very disappointing though), so we tell the waiter who comes back with... A very personal restaurant seemingly filled with returning local guests which always is a good measurement for quality. We called the same day and the restaurant was fully booked but with their and our good will we did get a very late table. The lamb we all had, different cuts, was superb! We will be back and book ahead!

Excellent food (I can recommand the ris de veau) and staff is very friendly! Even though we were a big group, service was efficient. Would certainly go back there!

We ate well here. A bit pricey and the meal that I thought was vegetarian turned out to have a lamb stuffing in the vegetables. My fault for not checking but, on the face of it, it looked like a menu specifically for vegetarians. My husband, the meat eater, thought it was excellent. Good service and nice surroundings..

Josy Jo is an established stand by when one wants high quality, simply grilled meat, fish or fowl. The ambiance is warm and inviting. The service friendly and warm. This is not a high style place to be seen, just a firm favorite for those who know their food. Be sure to reserve a parking spot. Searching for one can... More
