Traditional restaurant

It is both a restaurant and a pizzeria which seems to be favored by locals. Helpful staff, a good choice of local dishes (ravioli en daube, gnocchi), unpretentious atmosphere, children menu. There is a quiet little dining-room on the side.

Six of us ate here last week and had a lovely meal. Everyone enjoyed their food - steaks, veal and pizzas were all eaten. We were made very welcome and even arranged to watch the rugby on their tv. Lovely atmosphere and will definitely be going back!

We were looking for a casual Saturday lunch and based on their large menu, decided to give it a try. The staff was very helpful and friendly, attentive but not bothersome. I had roast chicken and fries and my wife enjoyed and salad with lots of mushroom, potato, lardon and a poached egg. We shared a house made lemon tart... More

Le Catalan is usually open when most of the other restaurants are closed. It is very convenient and the food is very good. The pizza, as in most of the south of France, is excellent.

We arrived late and we know that, in France, its difficult to eat after hours. By luck, next to our hotel we discovered this restaurant. The staff was very friendly and they explain us that, at that time, we could choose some pastas our pizzas. The next day, we returne and choose grilled fish for us and lasagna for the... More

Been dining here for beaucoup years, seen 3 or 4 change of owners, but the standard continued to be good, good paella and pizza, altogether good

We have eaten here a few times when the mood for good pizza, nice wine and casual relaxed atmosphere is what we wanted. The staff was friendly and courteous, the service quite slow. In all fairness the restaurant is very popular with locals and tourists and was always busy.

We usually eat here once or twice when we are on holiday here when we just want something quick and straightforward. The restaurant is always busy and seems to be popular with locals. Pizzas are fine and pasta dishes are ok without being particularly memorable. However the last time we were there, like one of the previous reviewers, it was... More

Busy restaurant/pizzeria, attracting lots of regular, local customers. I'm not sure why Le Catalan is so popular, because La Pignatelle is (literally) just around the corner, and is far better. But La Pignatelle was closed for the evening; an arthritic knee was acting up; so we settled for Le Catalan. We ordered: - Aperitifs (Campari and Ricard). Oysters, which were... More

My wife and I visited here last year for the first and certainly the last time; this is the worst restaurant we have visited in Beaulieu-sur-Mer by a distance so in that sense a perverse sense of kudos might well be offered. When we visited (in 2013 but before November however the date options do not go back far enough)... More
