Most people seem to want to eat at Le Catalan round the corner on a busy main road - but we found la Pignatelle much better. Lovely staff, excellent food, nice wine - what more could one want? It deserves more customers!

The proprietor has a friendly dog and he and his staff welcomed us and our dog into the restaurant. We were given a choice of sitting inside, outside or in the garden courtyard. We chose the latter. Whilst we perused the menu, water was brought for our dog. We dined from the menu gourmet at 35 Euros each. This menu... More

Excellent garlic prawns and the creme brûlée was delicious. Friendly and good service. Good value for money too. In a nice quiet spot.

Our second time here and another lovely lunch. Always worth going to the back to the garden. Attentive staff, but not over bearing and good value menu. Off to the pharmacy to get some scissors so my girlfriend can cut my hair. A bit worried, but have said I will be rating it on trip advisor. So hoping for a... More

We really liked this restaurant. It's friendly with young guys serving. The service and food are both good but the atmosphere is the best part of this restaurant. It's a family place with a dog, a very controlled and friendly dog and we had a very nice evening.

I had the fish soup and a whole sea bass, both very good. Friendly and professional service. I recommend.

Sat outside one lunchtime and found this place quite acceptable. Swift service and a nice welcome always works for me. We had Pizza and for me, my favourite - steak tartare - which was excellent. All washed down with a beer or two. Near to hotel which avoided the walk to the port. Ticked most boxes so would return.

I may have chosen the wrong plat du jour, and I should have known that fish for less than 16 euros is suspect, but the meal confirmed my suspicion that the state of french restaurants is in decline. I can't recommend this place and won't. The service was fast, efficient and friendly, the house rose passable (12 euros for 50... More

We visit this town and this restuarant nearly every year. We actually ate at this place twice during our visit and both times the food was excellent. The set menu is good value and portions are generous. Staff are very friendly and they recognise us every time we visit.
