This restaurant has a wonderful location facing due South - always sunny in winter - with a wonderful backdrop of the Cap Roux cliff formation. We ate here recently. Its a good location with a nice buzzy atmosphere. The Quality of the food has been disimproving over time but on this occasion it was very bad. Starters poor and came lukewarm. Main courses vey poor standard and again lukewarm. Deserts tasted like they were 3 days old. Staff very poor response to complaint. Extremely expensive... More

My wife and I visited The African Queen while staying in Nice. We made our way to Beauliue-sur-mer one afternoon. While rambling around the town we found The African Queen at The Port de Plaisance which is a fine marina with other eateries and shops. The menu and the atmosphere in The African Queen that afternoon were delightful. My wood-fired... More

If you’re ever in Beaulieu I thoroughly recommend you visit one of our top choice for delicious food, The African Queen. It’s perfectly situated for my wife (Lorna) and I, as it’s close to our boat right beside a small beach called Little Africa. It’s making my mouth water just thinking of the beautiful meals we’ve shared there! Definitely recommend!

One of my favorite places on french riviera. Inside is very cozy and warm, love the decor. Staff is very professional and nice. Food is excellent, but you pay the price for it. Love the artichoke salad, truffle pizza and buratta cheese. Careful if you ask for anything on the side, my friend asked some tomatoes with her salad, a... More

The lamb and chicken curry was good, not great. The salad niçoise original and very good. The carpaccio with truffles also quite good. But the taste were far from what you'd expect for the price. Nice view over the port and snooty waiting staff.

Very nice food. Service was very slow. I had to wait for 20 minutes for a waiter to clear my main course. Not really what I expect when your paying these prices.

I live down here and eat out a lot.....this was one of the best all-round eating experiences I've had. A bit pricey, but worth it for the perfectly cooked bourride. I am a professional chef de cuisine and cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Ate here on St. Valentine day with a friend. Took the menu deal and were very disapointed. The fish was almost uneatable and the apple ball for desert was a discrace. The price was expensive (about 160 euro) for food which I beleive would not have a chance of entering any amature chef competition. Will never go here again.

I'm not crazy about the food here ( a bit overpriced and lackluster), but fun for a drink at dusk or late at night. Located right in the marina.
