This was a pleasant dining experience - if quite formal. The food was well presented and nicely cooked……..but it lacked the wow factor. Maybe I was expecting too much, but this is an expensive restaurant and definitely promotes itself as a fine dining experience.

In nine years visiting Antibes, we have never had less than an excellent meal at Le Vauban. The menu is varied, accessible and always has a surprise, even in a familiar dish such as breast of duck, whose accompaniment can vary from beautifully arranged squares of apricot or cherry confit, depending on the day's market. The 39 euro menu comprises... More

The staff here were very very rude and almost knocked over an elderly gentleman travelling with our tour. They did not appear to want us to sit down and dirty their table cloths even though we would have spent at least 400 euro in the short time we were there and then proceded to obviously snickerabout us after our guide... I can see why Le Vauban scores so highly on Trip Advisor - the food was excellent - but for me it didn't quite hit the spot. Although everything tasted great, the cuisine is very haute with lots of foam and drizzles, and the ambiance was quite staid with starched white napery and dark wood. If you like a serious,... More

Table booked for eight, starters arrived just before nine( excluding tasty amuse bouche and great wine) , however when it came the food was absolutely delicious. Friendly and helpful staff. I will certainly revisit. No outside seating though.

We were on vacation and treated friends who had invited us to Antibes! We were not disappointed. Excellent service, food and delightful evening. We would highly recommend this restaurant if you are I the area!

We've passed this restaurant in Antibes many times, but have never been in. The set menus are of exceptional quality and very good value for money, with plenty of choice. The Eur 35 menu is a great option, with both the duck and pork outstanding main courses. The menu du chef was phenomenal, both the risotto to start and the... More

We have been many many times. Sunday lunch is favourite as its great value ( as lunch always is here). A modern cuisine but always immensely interesting dishes. Suffers as it is in Antibes but you can't sit out but is beautifully air-conditioned. Have recently renovated the exterior and is more welcoming. Very popular with older locals so do make... More
