An old fashioned, highly competent seafood restaurant. Efficient and friendly service, comfortable and well appointed tables, and very fresh fish - our party had turbot, daurade and a fruits de mer with oysters, large shrimp and langoustines - all delicious, and superior in quality to some of this restaurant's better know rivals in Antibes. Desserts were rich and indulgent - the... More

The waiter was a bit disinterested, and the menu was complicated. We opted for the turbot fillet for me, and lobster linguini for him. The meals were delicious but not presented very well, a bit rushed perhaps. Nevertheless, we had a table outside and could watch the world go by.

Dear Shackleford_LB, Thank you for your review and the details that help us to keep on ameliorating. Could you be more precise about the complication of the Menu? We are working on the new Carte to be changed in September, I hope you'll come and try it again, and give me your impressions ? Looking forward to welcoming you again... More

A very nice restaurant with very fresh fish. The menu is exceptionnal for the price you pay(28 euro without wine/34 with 1/2 l of wine) and 2 times in a row it was excellent. Try the langustine tartar And the Dorade! Moreover the waiters are very nice, so I'm looking forward to my next visit:)

Very nice fresh fish. But I hate leaving the table still hungry. .. this filet of turbo was around 100gr. This is ridiculously small piece of fish for 27 euros... So typical of the french coastal line where most restaurant manage to get cheap and expensive together. Big deception....

Dear ThisIsMaths, Thank you for your review, which will permit me to correct this dish with the Chef. First of all, be sure that the "one shot" is not our modo, and that we look forward to welcoming happy clients back again and again. Effectively on your photo the fillet seems to be smaller than the 180 gr usually served.... More

Place pretends to be the prime spot at the beaches in Antibes, with immaculate tablecloth and nice decor However food is half decent. Oysters are good (but how can you spoil oysters), but foies gra (fried, not terrine), was exceptionally bad, best reminding soviet sausage fried to death It was a shock, no wonder this place has got such a... Bonjour Mr Anders, We regret that our restaurant didn't reach your expectations, and that you don't appreciate our table clothes and our panned slice of Duck Foie Gras served with Brioche crumble and Honey (as written on our Carte). Having no "prime spot" pretention, we only aim to serve our guests the most agreeably and professionally possible, and to propose... More

Could not get into Bistro44 for lunch since they stop serving at 2:30 so made reservation for 7:00 PM and walked down the street to Albert 1er where they were still serving. Very upscale looking but reasonably priced. Specialized in seafood. Had wonderful slow baked cod with vegetables. Wait staff very attentive and friendly.

We have eaten here many times and can highly recommend it for great food, great ambiance and great service. The lunchtime menu is excellent value and a great treat after a visit to the market in Antibes on a Thursday morning. Highly recommended.

This restaurant has very good quality fish/ shellfish . The prices range from expensive - ridiculous . The service is VERY average , with staff unimpressed if champagne is not over ordered . The cheapest two course meal for two including a bottle of house wine and no deserts or coffee will set you back £100++ . Fruit de mer... More

My partner and I were walking around looking for somewhere to eat for lunch. We were running a little late (approaching 3pm) and had been turned away from 5 other places saying we were too late, in typical French fashion. We stumbled upon Albert 1er and we're welcomed in and treated to exceptional service. On top of that the food... More
