Lyonnais food, comfort eating

the place was full by 7:30pm on a Wednesday evening in January, that tells you how popular this place is. Just goes to show there are a lot of French people who love the Lyonnais style of cusine. Phenomenal service and food. I had come here with my husband last year for his birthday. I went last week with a friend who lives in Antibes and the waitstaff remembered me. Nicest people. Food is French and Lyon based. Truffle ravioli is amazing!!! Crepe Suzette for dessert also great.

We much enjoyed our "tartare de boeuf" and "filet de boeuf Rossini". Both were served in a traditional style and tasted delicious. Service was very friendly. One feels much welcome and at home. The ambiance is very traditional bistro style.

Had a special lunch and definitely a place for all and menus for children. There are the regular that you can have all the time and the fantastic menu combinations or a la carte. Very refreshing to see such depth of choices and incredible service. Definitely a place to become a regular.

Excellent place for a wintery day as there is no outdoor place. The food is authentic French and rather earthy (my onion soup was rather nice). I strongly recommend ordering one of the menus as they are good value.

We recently spent a month in France eating out for both lunch and dinner and could not find frog's legs until we visited this great bistro just around the corner from our hotel. The onion soup was also memorable. Service and prices were excellent.

We went in for lunch at Bistro 44 and were treated to a deliciously prepared array of foods. Starter, main course and deserts, all prepared to a high standard. Best food during our week spent driving around Provence. Definitely must visit while in Antibes.

Friendly welcome; interesting menu; both of our main dishes were very well prepared and were delicious. The deserts were excellent especially the cafe gourmand. All in all a very good restaurant.
