Our best meal in Avignon

This was our splurge meal during our recent trip to Provence. We ordered the 59 Euro menu and we're not disappointed, (though we later realized that it was possible to order a la carte). The waitstaff was attentive and patient with our limited French- switching to English at times and offering... read more

The food was delicious, I had the menu and each dishes were made of different flavours that were working really well all together. It is a kind of 'gourmet' restaurant. The staff was very attentive and although each plates were small to medium size, i felt at the end of my dinner. Highly recommended if you are in Avignon.

Yummm - everything was delicious and service was great. Beautiful restaurant tucked back in a courtyard - you can miss it easily except for the sign they put on the sidewalk. Had a wonderful desert - everything was served with a flair - of course - your in France!

Very disappointing and overly priced. I came here for my 18th birthday dinner and was very unimpressed. When we got there the waiter from the first moment was extremely depressed and sad. He never smiled and rolled his eyes at my father when he asked to repeat what he said when explaining the plates to us. How rude! A few... More

We had the 59 Euro menu - three inventively conceived and delicious courses, plus some decent amuse-bouches. The house specialities we sampled included duck infused with Cotes du Rhone, a gorgeous pistachio sabayon, intriguingly original sorbets (e.g. Strawberry with beetroot) and some succulent, well-cooked cod. Service was efficient and the atmosphere inside is pleasant.

My husband and I chose this restaurant for its vegetarian menu. We had a lovely table outside on a quiet little square. The food was excellent. The vegetables were perfectly prepared and very tasteful. It is difficult to find good vegetarian food in France so we delighted with Les 5 sens. The service was correct (but could have been more... Stopped in for an early evening meal...venue is really well located in centre of Avignon and has indoor and outdoor seating. Food was super and included a separate vegetarian menu. Dishes were creative and very fresh. Deserts were incredibly good. Service was good with most of the waiters young and enthusiastic. Overall it was good value with 3 course meals... More

The service in this restaurant is a joke. A bunch of young, untrained, unprofessional and arrogant waiters is trying to prevent good manners but badly fail. Empty tables remain unclean for hours (!) and your plates are only removed when the new course arrives. The kitchen door closes very loud each time somebody enters or leaves the kitchen (every few... We had lunch here and chose the market menu (35€ p.p. for 3 courses). Marvellous fish tartare, fantastic fish with season vegetables and safran sauce, great desert wit vanilla sabayon and peaches. Elegant and friendly service, nice interior design (the weather was not so good, so we could not eat on the terrace that looked cosy anyway). Affordable wine list.... More
