Enjoyed every bite

Excellent delicious meal, messed up a vegetarian order with meat in the sauce, but otherwise great. Beer were local and great, food lots of well made local dishes.

This is a sophisticated small cosy restaurant. The decor is beautiful and it gives the restaurant a lovely atmosphere. The menu gives a choice of two set menus with slightly different prices. The food is excellent. The servings are generous without being too large. There is a good choice within the set menus. Service was excellent. The menu is in... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. The food was salty, the steak full of tendons and tough, the boar stew was a sort of slop. Service and ambiance was ok.

Was with a group of 7 for a week in Avignon and this was probably the best overall dining experience that we had. Everyone enjoyed their food and the folks who had the sea bass absolutely raved about it. Creme Brulee was an excellent choice for desert too. Food tasted very fresh and service was good as well.

We stayed 3 days in Avignon and we struggled to find good food anywhere, it was average overall and this restaurant was no exception. To be honest we had a great evening, the staff was courteous, the food was well presented but it wasn't anything exceptional. For instance the starter 'tartare de saumon' was served with a layer of sour... More

This was a great discovery for our first evening out in Avignon. Warm welcome, lots of good advice regarding choice of dishes and especially which local wines would go well with the meal. We followed the advice offered and were not disappointed. Two of us went for the fish; and two for the dish of the day. Again everyone was... More

We went here as appeared to be one of the better restaurants open on Sunday. My advice is steer clear of Avignon on Sundays. Service was inept and food was only so-so with a very limited menu. My wife did enjoy her foie gras, the one highlight of this meal. Service was very poor.

We went with 32 pax for a dinner (50€/pax) with drinks following TA and lafourchette recommandations. The service was not particularly warm, the states and desserts were average, and the main course was terrible. A no go! Given the review, I assume we had bad luck. Bu looking back at pictures, they're nowhere near what you can get for 20-30€... More

During our month in Provenca we had numerous lovely dinners including here at Le Brigadier du Theatre. The staff is attentive and the food is excellent. It is a warm and friendly place and our waitress, Visionie, even helped me learn a bit of French. My husband had the Sea Bream which was excellent and I had a vegetable and... More

After all those wonderful reviews here on trip advisor - very disappointing. Food is flat and tasteless, scallops are tough and chewy, snails didn't have any flavor, salmon looks and tastes like precooked and heated in the microwave. Don't come here.
