This is a very nice restaurant that calls itself a wine bar. Think Avignon, not Paris. The restaurant's local is central and near (behind) the Pope's Palace. The food was very good, the ambiance better, the servers attentive and accommodating (as long as you don't arrive before 7). It was the best meal we had in Avignon (which is very... More

Whether you call this a restaurant or wine bar, make no mistake the food inside this charming establishment is very good. Add to that the well thought out colorful decor and lively ambiance with very helpful and attentive servers - and you have all the ingredients for a successful restaurant. Their menu is simple, but delicious and everything is very... More

This was our first night in Avignon after a long day of train travel. We were excited to find this little Rick Steves gem very near our apartment. The restaurant is very small and the menu is written on a chalkboard. When our server found out we spoke little French, he produced an English version. We started with goat cheese... More

Following the long established convention of Trip Advisor reviews, this establishment gets 5 stars as a wine bar, just as a coffee shop, pizza parlor, or ice cream stand has been given 5 stars in the restaurant category for excelling in its niche category without serving an excellent dinner. This is a great wine bar, with a wide range of... More

This very small restaurant serves French cuisine. Together with the local people you can enjoy the French wine and food. Certainly a place I would go ack to.

If you like cheese, you will love this old place, close to the Popes Palace. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a table in a dining room with stone walls. I started with a local cheese plate (enough for 3 of us) which was excellent. The rest of the food and the wine were good too.

We ate here several times on our last trip to Avignon in 2013. The excellent value and food that we had then was still the case when we ate there the last week of March. We had the duck, chicken and of course cheese! In addition to the amazing food, the prices are a bargain compared to other restaurants and... More

Out of the 3 nights I spent in Aix, I visited this place 2 times! AMAZING! I still think and drool over the food I had there. Service is great - good value - very cool/funky vibe inside. Overall, A+ experience. I can't wait to go back!

Had a nice dinner with a colleague. It is off the beaten track from the more touristic restaurants. So worth finding. Nice wines, moderate prices and the perfume of Provence herbs made the place attractive. I had confit canard. It was excellent. But like other reviews you have to be in the mood for cheese, otherwise selection is limited

We went to visit Avignon and stopped in front of this restaurant. The design was kind of funny: cows everywhere. We entered and had a delicious dinner. It was romantic, nice atmosphere, between cheese and wine. Excellent souvenir !
