We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this restaurant last August. It was just what we needed after a long tour of the Pope's Palace. Tasty food, pleasant waiters, and a rousing version of Happy Birthday for one of our party, as well as a free glass of champagne. This restaurant strives to please its customers. I wish them continued success.

We were drawn here by the approach of one of the young Algerian? waiters who busily 'sold' the place to passers by with cheerful phrases such as 'good home cooking' etc. They worked hard fetching dishes from a kitchen tucked away up an alley and were so good natured. I had delicious chicken and potatoes in a rich sauce and... More

In the midst of the tourist area, the food and service was excellent and the price very reasonable. My friend and I both enjoyed our quiches and salad while my husband had a delicious lamb dish. Wine and beer was reasonable too and the mint tea at the end was fragrant and sweet. We had a fun and relaxing time.

Ate here 2 nights as the chicken tagine on the first night was so good, and the owner is the 'front man' and has a lively banter!! Chose the lamb tagine the second night and it was beautiful. Whole lamb shank but the meat melted off the bone..prunes, apricots, and pineapple added to the mix..satisfying, wholesome food. A thunderstorm started as... More

This restaurant is strategically placed on a corner opposite the town hall - it looks the part - authentic Maghrebin tiles complete the rather basic decor, and the menu promises some very nice combinations. Unfortunately, the food when presented, is mediocre, and does not do justice to the famed Moroccan cuisine. There is nothing authentic in the presenation and food... More

...but a great place to enjoy a fine couscous meal & a cold draft beer. The owner was young, energetic and charmed visitors to enter his sidewalk area with kitchen upstairs. He speaks English & loves to practice it. Another + for ethnic cuisine of France.

Meat overdone. Needs more spice in the kefta. Kabob was not tough. Too much dressing on the salad. It was okay but if you have ever had real Arabic food in morocco, Egypt or Dearborn you will be disappointed. Please note that my in laws are from Egypt so I have had high quality Arabic home cooking.

This is a nice place in a lovely central location. Service is very friendly and the couscous we had was good and served traditionally and in generous portions. Besides French staff speak English and at least some Italian and Spanish. Prices are fair.

Directly across from the clock on the Hotel de Ville on Place de la Republique is the Couscousserie.Although it has the smallest outdoor seating of all restaurants on the plaza, we found it to provide the best food and service of all we tried. It is a family run restaurant serving Algerian Dishes such as couscous and tagine.
