Top notch

This was the best meal we had in 5 nights in Avignon. Really top quality food, highly recommended. Hostess fluent in English. Great experience all round. We arrived early to get a table and were glad as a number of people were turned away after us.

First and foremost, be sure to make a reservation. We went on a weekday evening, lucky we'd asked our hotel front desk to reserve a table the evening before. We were the first customers for the evening, but not long after, as more customers arrived, a sign was put up at the entrance saying the restaurant was fully booked for... More

My friend and I went to this restaurant on our one night in Avignon and we were not disappointed. The waitress and the chef are the owners and they are delightful. The service was incredibly attentive and the wine was divine. The food was amazing and also very well priced. The ambiance (cool music & cosy decide) was lovely and... More

We were recommended Fou de Fafa by our hotelier. The lady who greeted us was warm, professional and efficient. She waited all the tables (it was full by the time we'd left) but was never too rushed to explain something to us. The food was delicious, from the amuse bouche to the dessert was wonderful. The scallops with pea purée... More

Were lucky to get a last minute table on a Saturday night. We ate early and were on our own for most of the time so not a great atmosphere. Service very pleasant and food excellent. But not much of a wow factor.

From the second you walk in the door, the ambiance, the welcome is superb. After that, it just gets better. This is without doubt, one of the best dining experiences I have enjoyed and this British couple are knocking out not just great food, but a great experience at such reasonable prices, I have absolutely no qualms about recommending this... I always check Tripadvisor for recommendations but this time I had not done it. We entered the restaurant on a feeling. It looked good. And it was. The whole family agreed on a 5. We all had a very decently priced 3 course meal. Every meal was great. The service was first class. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Highly recommended.

This was our third time to visit Avignon and our third time for dinner at Fou de Fafa. It continues to be a great place to have dinner, the food was prepared well, the staff was very knowledgeable and nice and for being number #1 on trip advisor for so long....the price is very reasonable. All in all another enjoyable... More

Outrageously good food, simple, straightforward menu, elegant surroundings, exceptionally attentive and gracious service, and quite reasonable prices. One of the best meals we had in France (and we had many excellent meals on this trip). Do yourself a favor and get a reservation at this restaurant (they fill up quickly as it's small and we saw many people turned away,... More

We emailed the restaurant, but got no response from them. Our tour guide told us they don't take groups larger than four. We were a group of five, but the restaurant could not be bothered to tell is this. They just ignored our request for a reservation.
