This was our third time to visit Avignon and our third time for dinner at Fou de Fafa. It continues to be a great place to have dinner, the food was prepared well, the staff was very knowledgeable and nice and for being number #1 on trip advisor for so long....the price is very reasonable. All in all another enjoyable... More

Outrageously good food, simple, straightforward menu, elegant surroundings, exceptionally attentive and gracious service, and quite reasonable prices. One of the best meals we had in France (and we had many excellent meals on this trip). Do yourself a favor and get a reservation at this restaurant (they fill up quickly as it's small and we saw many people turned away,... More

We emailed the restaurant, but got no response from them. Our tour guide told us they don't take groups larger than four. We were a group of five, but the restaurant could not be bothered to tell is this. They just ignored our request for a reservation.

A lovely find, thanks to my Trip Advisor buddies. It was such a good experience, we went back two weeks later on our way back to Spain. The restaurant is a lovely, cosy and happy place to be. The greeting by Antonia was warm as well as professional and yes, she does make you feel you are the center of... More

Antonia was a delightful host - I felt like I was the most important person in the room (rather than the random solo diner that I was). I felt extremely welcome and comfortable. I had not realised that Antonia was English - although she tolerated my (initial) attempts at French with extremely good humour and diplomacy! The superficial decor of... More

I booked in advance. I was glad I did, as patrons were being turned away, left and right, and this was on a Thursday the first week of November. I had a lovely salad of greens, sliced apples, glazed walnuts, with a creamy delicious roqeufort with the perfect amout of "bite"... With a light rasberry viniagrette . My main was... More

My husband booked us a table based on the high rating le Fou de Fafa got on Tripadvisor - and we weren't disappointed! Everything from the starter over the main course to the dessert is prepared with high quality ingredients and a lot of attention is paid to details - I've enjoyed prawns in a pastis sauce as a starter... Fou de Fafa, the #1 restaurant certainly lives up to its reputation. The hostess was very British, and the food was very French. We enjoyed this meal and declared it the best in France.

Everything about this restaurant is excellent. The waitress, who co-owns the restaurant with her husband- the chef, was absolutely lovely! We felt like we were in a top class restaurant from the minute we sat down until we left the restaurant. The food was fabulous- excellent presentation, served extremely hot and delicious. This was the best meal we have eaten... More

Luckily we booked here in advance, as it is only small and very popular. Run by a husband and wife, the wife is front of house and she is absolutely charming. We had a wonderful meal, I chose the smoked salmon cheesecake to start followed by the duck breast with red currants, both were delicious. Excellent meal, and a very... More
