Came here with my husband and friends and really enjoyed our meal experience. The lady that serves is also the owner so you get a real homely family feel with a balance of professional table service such as wiping your crumbs away which leaves the impression of 5 star dining in a welcoming environment. The food was delicious from the... More

We have travelled to Avignon over a number of years. We have visited Fou de Fafa since shortly after Antonia and Russell started the business. Antonia is perfect for front of house. She exudes elegant English charm. She greets customers in a variety of languages giving a warm and welcome feeling. The restaurant is modern and well furnished. There is... More

We went here on our first night in Avignon, having visited last year on our trip We wanted somewhere where we would feel comfortable as we knew we would feel tired. On our return we felt so welcomed once again as if we were old friends. The food was excellent, the service attentive, but not intrusive and the ambiance calm.... More

Our visit to this small restaurant even exceeded the lofty expectations we had after reading other reviews. Antonia was a most welcoming and attentive hostess/waitperson/owner. In other words, she does it all in the front of the house. Her husband Russell, the unseen presence in the kitchen, is equally proficient in preparing interesting, tasty dishes. We topped off the excellent... More

Having seen the reviews on TripAdviser I was keen to make a special effort while we were in the area to visit this place. And I was very glad we did. The food was delicious. As we sat there, people were being turned away as the small dining area was full. Among the best dining experiences I've had. Not too... More

This was our second visit to Four de fafa having dropped in last summer, I'm delighted to say it is still stunning. The ambience of the place is lovely, attractively decorated and a really relaxing atmosphere, if like me you have limited French you should not be intimidated, the service is superb and nothing is to much trouble, it was... I visited in August 2014 with my partner. We booked 2 days ahead and like lots of the other reviewers we saw lots of people being turned away as the place was full. The service, food, wine and setting were all brilliant and we both really enjoyed it. If you wander up to any of the main squares in Avignon... More

The reviews were all very accurate, the restaurant is well run by a husband and wife team, just only two of them - chef in the kitchen while the lady juggles the duties as hostess, server, cleaner and cashier. Food was great, decent portions and creative, cooked with care and thought. The hostess was very engaging, trying her best to... More

Owned and run by a British couple who have lived in Avignon for ten years. The service and food is excellent. The restaurant seats 26 and reservations are required. It is open from 6:30 to 9:30 with a final seating at 9:15. The food is both excellent and beautifully presented. The prices are very fair and reasonable.

We were lucky enough to get the single unreserved table on the day of our visit -- we went 10 minutes before they opened at 6:30, and by 6:30 there were 3 groups waiting. Fortunately, we were the first. So reservation is essential. On to the food and service: The food was great. We particularly loved the salmon tartare --... More
