What a brilliant restaurant and great value for money. The restaurant is very traditional looking and you feel completely at ease at soon as you sit down.Nice touches include a delicious little taster whilst you are waiting of your starter. Food is top quality accompanied by warm rustic bread. The food is hearty and filling and unpretentious. I had the 24 euro... More

Expected from this restaurant is much larger. Portions were rather small, and the prices are quite high. It seems to me that in the restaurants of this kind should be abundant and nourishing food. As in the pictures from this restaurant. Why is that in real terms we have not seen it in this place. Service, location is OK. As... More

We eat here from time to time, especially when the weather is nice.. the outdoor seating area is charming, though directly next to the street. The service here is first-rate.. When we last ate here, the chef put together a special pasta dish just for my 3 year old and got it to the table right away so my wife... More

I recently spent two nights in Avignon, having read about Mamma Corsica on the internet and reading some good reviews, I gave it a try. I was not disappointed! So good in fact I ate there on my second night! Hidden away from the main tourist trap, but still easy to find lies this traditional French bistro. I say French... More

We went here on the off chance we'd get in as it seemd to be one of the few places open on a Sunday. On a quiet unassuming street off Place Pie. I've never been to Corsica, but I couldn't really see what was 'Corsican' about the menu, of which the entrees were burger, steak, and charcuterie meat/cheese platter. These... More

A great evening and as the title suggests this place is a hidden gem. To walk by, it looks pleasant enough, tucked away up a side street off a minute square but nothing overly exotic, don't be put off by this though, the home cooked Corsican food is really excellent, being both delicate and flavoursome, not to mention beautifully presented,... A great restaurant...so good we went back the following day to have lunch. If you're looking for reasonably priced, unpretentious food, made from great ingredients served up in a relaxed environment, by enthusiastic and hard working owners, then you won't be disappointed with Mamma Corsica. My wife and I were in Avignon for a weekend break; the Mamma Corsica was... More

Lucy our waitress and part owner of restaurant was very pleasant and helpful, especially as we didn't speak French. Found this restaurant on Trip Adviser and wasn't disappointed. We liked so much that we came back a second evening. Nothing too much trouble. We had the steak on first night and lamb the second evening. Both were delicious. Value for... More

It was worth the waiting in. The owners are very sweet and try to overcome the stress of the Festival . The food is very good and simple. The"planche de decouverte" take you to Corsica. The wine was not missing but short of stock due to a style. Only bottles or half bottles were available. Encouragements for this young couple.... More

I don't understand how it's possible for a restaurant to have the Tripadvisor label of excellence 2014, next to which-sweet irony-I was sitting and when I asked for the second glass of red wine I was told that there was none left meaning that basically I was served dregs from the bottle or worse a mix of dregs from a...
