A little bit away from the touristic centre square of Avignon is the rue des Teinturiers. A string of small restaurants and bars with Le Zinzolin almost at the end. We had heard about the place and decided to have lunch there. A very nice experience; friendly and correct service on a small terrace full of local French people. We... More

we needed someplace late - welcoming and friendly - we had just fine rather tasteless fish and nice vegetables - the street is worth going to just for its antiquity and the canal - quiet non-touristy .. that makes it worth it too

This restaurant is located on a great street with old watermills along a canal. Lots of restaurants, bars and an overall lively atmosphere that does not feel very touristy as it is away from the main Avignon sights. The service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal and the food was DELICIOUS!!! The gnocchi with cheese and spinach that my... More

I had dinner there last night. As a solo diner I was made to feel very comfortable. The waitress helped me translate the menu and I choose the pasta dish of the day. It was simply prepared and exactly what I was looking for. The service was good and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. I also loved being I... More

Restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel A nice walk from Place de l'horloge, food is prepared simply but cannot be faulted for taste or value for money. Worth a wander for this one.

This was by far one of our best meals in Avignon. Recommended by our hosts, it was a little hard to find, but well worth it. The service was fantastic! Our waiter came to the table with numerous bottles of wine for us to sample before deciding. The house specials, or "recommendations" were all delicious and perfectly prepared. An outdoor... More

We stopped for late lunch in Avignon. Menu of the day was all done by the time we got there around 13.30-14.00, so we ordered mushroom rissotto, which was good! We ordered café groumand, coffee with small assorted desserts and it was worth it. I liked the interior design, especially the paintings on the wall. There were many people enjoying... More

Fantastic pasta and a great spot to sit and watch the world go by! We visited for a late lunch on a Friday, and received good service and great food. And a smattering of English from the waitress helped us immensely!

I have been here numerous times with friends and I would keep coming back. The restaurant is on Rue des Teinturiers; a charming cobblestone street inside the walls of Avignon. The service is very friendly but in true French fashion, the servers are not often hasty. Every time I go, I try the featured risotto and I have yet to... More
