Lovely setting - good food

Came across this place after finding all the places recommended by our hotel were fully booked. It's situated down a narrow alley which opens into a secluded courtyard. Food was very good - well coooked and presented - with service to match. Would recommend this as a good place to visit.

Having found this restaurant by chance back in August 2012, we have been back a couple of times in the past couple of years so when we were in Avignon for the weekend this was one restaurant we wanted to go back to and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by the same friendly staff we met last time.... More

We stumbled on this fantastic restaurant almost by accident, and while the entrance is hidden from the street the beautiful interior was a welcome surprise. For lunch we selected the three course menu of the day, along with a recommended wine, and were not disappointed. The waiter spoke excellent English and was extremely helpful and the meal superb. Wonderful presentation... More

Our favorite meal in Avignon was here. This place is tucked away in what appears to be an alleyway, but is really the entrance to a former villa. The weather was excellent so we ate outside in the courtyard. The entire experience was sublime. We stumbled by at almost 10pm and they were happy to seat us. With the exception... More

We sat at table half inside, half out, enjoying the unusual warmth of a late fall night. The food was very good and the server charming in her willingness to help us stumble along in French. A very pleasant experience.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the courtyard of this charming French restaurant. We ordered the pre-fixe menu with offered delicious, quality choices. Mr. Pierre Quenin was engaging and insured we had the most marvelous experience.

We discovered this little gem by accident when we were in Avignon in September 2013 and LOVED it. We knew we wanted to return again this year, even though we were 45 minutes away in Gordes. We took our two 20-something nieces with us and we were delighted with the great meal and friendly service. The lamb stew was great... More

We ate here our second night in Avignon and we're not disappointed. The salads were delicious. I had a steak, which was very tasty and my husband had some kind of fish, and he raved about it. The waitstaff were polite and spoke good English. Service was typically slow, but not so much that we became impatient. Overall, a good... More
