Great Provencale cooking

A lovely restaurant with great food. I nearly ordered sheep tripe thinking I was getting lamb, but fotumately my wife saved me and I changed my order to scallops. These were absolutely delicious. The wine list was also very good and offered a good choice of wines from the region. Followed up with a... read more

This is a typical French bistro serving good quality local food. As a first experience of snails (sad omission for someone well travelled) was positive and the sea bream was delicious. The service was excellent - the waitress spoke enough English - and the service was great. A restaurant I'd happily return to and many thanks for a great evening

A bit off the beaten track but worth seeking out. Had an excellent meal in a lovely restaurant. A bit more fine dining then the average lunch but worth spoiling yourself for!

This is by far one of the best restaurants in the area so be sure to make reservations early, they book quickly. The food is strictly gourmet and you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Service is friendly and top notch.

Was recommended by the Hotel D'Europe. This restaurant has excellent food, a varying menu with fresh seasonal ingredients, great service, is well located, and is not touristy. The owners and staff are genuinely courteous and contribute to the experience. Highly recommend and we will go back.

I dinnered at this restaurant during a visit in Avignon. It is very nice inside, service is friendly and good but not the best in my opinion (I had to wait a while before paying, our waiter kind of disappeared). I had escargot, some meat (not the filet, which looked amazing tho!) and a meringue dessert, spending around 40 euros.... More

La Fourchette accepted an email reservation, responded later that morning when they opened, and later allowed us to move up our lunch plan for the four of us. What wonderful food and service. We had a pork special with two shared desserts - delicious! Park in the underground garage near the Pope's Palace, and walk to La Fourchette. Then a... More

Overall we enjoyed our meal at La Fourchette. A complementary olive tapenade had a good garlicky taste. Duck terrine had a very good flavor and a nice coarse texture. An appetizer of celery and crab was overprocessed, but reasonably tasteful. Scallops were served whole with the body as well as mussel, but were a bit overcooked. Duck breast was done... More

Another great French restaurant. Food, wait staff and ambience were excellent. Good value for the price and very good wine list. My wife, however, missed a step going down to the lower level and strained her leg. She was not the only one. During dinner two other people also stumbled. One gentleman almost fell on our table. In summary good... More
