My husband and I participated in the Surprise Menu - about 20 innovative courses over several hours. The pacing was good, but the experience was dampened by the rushed, flustered and sometimes faulty service. There was bumping/hustling among the waitstaff which prevented us from slipping into that easy meal space. Silverware was dropped, a sauce pitcher delivered to our table... More

We love food and have eaten at a number of highly-rated restaurants so there is the risk that we will become somewhat blase. But Chef Rabanel's emotional cooking worked completely. He does mean to elicit surprise and delight and his dishes, colorful and layered with taste, deliver just that. We also welcomed his emphasis on working with vegetables and herbs.... More

We opted for the 7 course menu with wine, and the food and drink was exceptional. There wasn't one dish that wasn't memorable! An unbelievable culinary experience, topped off by a very helpful sommelier, lovely friendly staff and even a personal greeting from Jean-Luc Rabenel himself. A meal we will remember for the rest of our lives.

We were left standing outside for the table for several minutes. The front of house were very rude and acted as if we had inconvenienced them. They gave us a terrible table and walked off. They were too busy. In the end we got up and walked away.

When you have been lucky enough to eat at many great restaurants worldwide, you end up trying to figure out what makes one more memorable than another. Eating at Jean-Luc Rabanel is real experience. This is for me one of the most creative chef I know alongside Marc Veyrat and Pierre Gagnaire when they were at their best in Megève... More

We ended up here by chance, had not checked my guide Michelin before the visit in Arles started. Reserved, went there, and thoroughly enjoyed. What a tastes! And interesting, not too expensive wines. A great night!

Cold dishes, ridiculous portions, arrogant service. Try another restaurant during your stay in magnificent Arles.

Four of us had the 10 courses. Several more starters were also served. The food was all very interesting but it was too much and there isn't enough time for this amount of food. Plates were whipped away to get more courses served and at one stage plates were taken while one of us was still eating. I couldn't relax.... More

I agree this is an experience but if you like food and like experiencing different tastes this is the place to go ! No menu, it is all about the Chef creations. Each dishe is a new culinary adventure and it is a true delight. Mr Rabanel came to our table at the start and was adorable, he even took... More
