Wonderful mediterranean fare

We loved our dinner at Le Criquet. We started with great appetizers and progressed to a succulent sea bass. The Cote Du Rhone wines were a fabulous accompaniment. The location is down on of the back streets out of the tourist mess in Arles. Our best dinner while staying in the area.

If you go for a day trip to Arles please have lunch in this intimate family run restaurant. Food is great cooked by the owner and his wife and their two lovely daughters are the ones serving the tables.

Great atmosphere in this quaint restaurant in an old building. Wonderful French food, particularly Provence-influenced. Wonderful staff was helpful with the wine and their English was very good, easy for non-French speakers that we are!

please make a reservation to this incredible family run restaurant! The two waitresses are sisters and their parents are the chefs! We were a group of 13 and they couldn't have been nicer. We had the larger table upstairs....fun spot for a group and easier access to the bathroom after the wine! The food and sauces were simply outstanding! No... More

It was near our hotel and was recommended to us. It was crowded on a Sunday night. The ravioli entree, the duck and the sea bass were all task. The dessert sampler was good. Good value

Called in for lunch when we arrived in Arles and this was one of the restaurants recommended by our hotel. Le Criquet has a great location - very near the Roman Theatre, very friendly service, and a very pleasant feel inside - though the loos at the top of the stairs might present a hazard to the infirm or inebriated.... This restaurant is close to the colosseum in Arles. I normally avoid restaurants clustered around the main attractions of a city, but there are several exceptions to this rule in Arles. Le Criquet is one of these exceptions and is well worth a visit. The food is very good and very reasonably priced. Appetizers, mains (including pasta, fish and meat)... More

On the recommendation of our hotel (L'Amphitheatre see separate review) we ate here midweek in late October and the place was full so fortunately we had booked ahead. Food was simple and delicious. Choice of 6 entrees and 6 mains all local provencal fare , simply cooked and yummy. I had foie gras and lamb followed by the assiette gourmande... More
