Gourmet experience

On a Monday night in January Le Plaza chose us, as it was the only place open in that area. Lucky choice: close interested service and cuisine of a high order.

When we traveled to Arles in December 2014, we asked the staff of our hotel to recommend some restaurants for us to dine. This restaurant is one of the two. We had a very pleasant dinner experience here. The 3-course menu costs 27€. All the dishes are deliciously made. The quantity and the quality of the food are both worth... More

a very quaint restaurant right in Arles that was able to accompany a group of 14, reservation a must with that size. Some of us spoke French while the others did not...have no fear the waiter kindly translated everything and even drew pictures of shrimp! The onion tart was a fan favorite along with the beef stew! Kids friendly!

Another 4 1/2 out of 5 if that rating were possible. Touring Arles for the day as part of a Viking River Cruise, we asked local shop owners where they recommend we go for lunch and we were steered away from the busy plaza to this restaurant and their advice was solid. This was a terrific restaurant. There were six... More

On a bike tour of Provence, we spent one night in Arles. After reviewing restaurants online, we chose Le Plaza, which was a 5-7 minute walk from our hotel near the Colisseum. The menu had many different items, especially for us Americans, but we found the food to be very good. Although we did not make a reservation, we were... More

Found this place mentioned on both trip advisor and Rick Steves so decided to give it a try for lunch and we were not disappointed. My wife got one of the meals with starter + entrée + dessert while I had a "special formula" (entrée + dessert). Her starter was couscous cooked with tomato sauce similar to Mexican Rice, her... Last night our party of four chose this restaurant from several in a row along the street. I think we made a good choice. I had the pre-set menu meal consisting of fish soup, steak, which was done perfectly to my order, cheese tray and creme brulee. It was all delicious. The others in my party had the duck and... More

I have read the recent reviews. Sheeeesh ! We found many other restaurants closed for Sunday midi, despite it being "journees du patrimoine" and the town overflowing with people. We had just confirmed the same about one of our favorite spots, and so since we were on this street, we chose to eat at Le Plaza. As we maneuvered to... More

Friendly service and our server was happy to explain the French menu to my wife and I. Both meals were excellent - a fresh and tasty salad and a local beef dish with a wonderful sauce. Coffee was great and very comfortable sitting inside with many ceiling fans.
