surprisingly it was the most popular restaurant in the square, which is why we chose it. The service was one of the worse ever. Really unpolite, bad manners, and even the cleanliness of the waitress was far from acceptable. The food was ok, but far from good. the restaurant was not that clean and the bathroom was tiny and filthy

A quick note before I begin; we had a person in our group that speaks fluent French - there was no language barrier to speak of. We were attracted by the huge paella pan outside and the bustle and energy of the restaurant. It shortly became clear, however, that the bustle was customers wanting to pay and leave - customers... My family and I were attracted by its prime location/setting but that quickly turned into a very disappointing experience. The escalope was basically an oversized chicken nugget. Frozen. The ratatouille and pasta bolognese were tasteless and from a can/jar. Just all putrid! Avoid at all costs!!! There are do many other lovely places to eat!

I have been in this restaurant in October 2013 with my girlfriend during our weekend in Arles. Actually we did not choose that restaurant in purpose but we just picked a table looked nice in the middle of the "place du forum". It turned out that they had some tables that they serve outside of the restaurant as well. Nevertheless,... More

I'm so surprised by other TA comments! we dined here recently and had a most enjoyable evening. I wanted to avoid the famed 'Van Gogh' café as the waiters were already looking at their watches clearly bored at no customers being quieter season. And strolling around the Place du Forum looking at menus we stumbled across this restaurant occupying a... More

My wife and I had lunch here and enjoyed it so much we came again for an evening meal, both were good value. It's a good location at one end of the Place du Forum, plenty to see as one eats a really good value meal. We had crepes for lunch one day and were delighted that they were as... More

We held out high hopes for this place after being told not to eat at the "Van Gogh" cafe by a guy at the Tourist Office. Alas I can say this was the worst restaurant meal I have ever been served up. I had what I thought would be a simple steak, not a difficult meal....but how you can cook... More

My husband and I had a very different experience than other reviewers! I am surprised by all the complaints. We didn't encounter that. We may be a bit forgiving, and aren't usually in a big hurry. The staff was very busy and gave us average attention. But the food was terrific! I had a wonderful salade mixte, with lots of... More

We fancied the paella on offer at this place - but when we wen to sit downs we realized the tables are packed into an outside space such the the diners are like battery hens. We LOOKED at another table to sit at, and a very rude waitress (who had the air of someone who owned the restaurant) came along... More

Ate here all 3 of our nights in Arles. Lily was our server and was superb. Tried her best to handle English and we could ask for nothing more. We were in 4 and we were all very happy with the food. Onion soup and the mussels did it for me.
