The food at the Gibolin was amazing. Everything we tasted (two appetizers and two entrees) was among the most delicious things we had while in France. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It's definitely worth the price and the wait.

Nice restaurant, food & wine didn't disappoint (we had the steak tartare twice!), the patronne knows her wines, trust her recommendations, you shouldn't be disappointed. Service slow and scattered at times, could benefit an additional member of staff. Still, an excellent choice for dinner. Good value for money compared to London (which is an extreme comparison I reckon but it... More

Only go if you have lots of time - and a reservation! Restaurant is in a nice little street, food is homemade and quite good. Very nice wine too - but expensive.

My pigs feet appetizer, cooked in a rolled veggy mixture, was the best bite of our recent trip. The entrée, however, was a typical stuffed pepper that I could have made. The best part was watching the one server scamper nonstop around the joint. Apparently the romani musicians are a nightly thing. No one minded. Cool little alley slightly away... More

There are tens of cafe/restaurants in old Arles, but, for me, the two that were head and shoulders above the rest both began with the letter"G": Le Giboulin and Le Galoubet (already reviewed). Both will likely require a reservation. Space is tight at Le Giboulin: perhaps seating for 10-16 indoors and maybe 40, or so, outside. Either works fine. The... More

We enjoyed dinner at Le Gibolin a week ago in Arles. This cafe is located on Rue de la Porcelets with many other small cafes. The reviews on TripAdvisor were satisfactory and the cafe was recommended by the lady we rented our apartment from. We made reservations by walking in and asking to reserve for the following evening. The wife... More

We dined in June on the recommendation of our B&B hosts. Our hostess was offhand from the outset and service during the meal was quite inattentive. We ordered a 2 course special. The mains were fine without being remarkable. If I had been able to get the glass of wine I had ordered to have with the dish, I might... More

This lovely intimate gem has a limited menu, but everything we had was sensational. It's interesting and fresh with wonderful friendly service. Let the owner pick your wine.. You will not be disappointed. The night we were there, there was a flamenco singer which added to the wonderful atmosphere. It might be small but it's certainly big on atmosphere. We... More

A great restaurant but be prepared for a limited menu. Having said that please note that if you like good cuisine let your hostess guide you through the choices. You will not be disappoint. I eat almost anything but my wife is a little bit more choosy..........and folks she was not disappointed. Wine and desserts just added to our experience.... More

Small, informal and welcoming - just what was needed on a cold, damp, blustery Saturday evening. The menu was simple, local and extremely well prepared. Everybody enjoyed their choices. The wine suggested to us was excellent. All this at a very reasonable price - what more could one want?
