An unexpected surprise

We were beyond hungry and were struggling to find the right place for our different pallets. I admit, I got lucky here! There were four of us and we finally vowed to eat at the next place...and this was it. And so thankful we did. The waitress was so charming, we could see the food being... read more

This was a magical find. OK its not Michelin starred, but it is the perfect example of what France is good at. We passed it when it was shut and decided it looked a good bet so rang to make a booking. To our astonishment the window opened and the proprietor stuck his head out and chatted to us for... More

I found this restaurant expensive and pretentious. The room are tiny and cramped. The kitchen are not clean.

Tried to make a booking at several other restaurants in Arles (with no luck....closed on the day we went, still not open for the season etc) however I'm glad that we ended up here. Delicious food, quaint atmosphere and pleasant service.

I had the fixed menu and it was very good. The butternut soup was nicely seasoned, and interestingly paired with whole coffee beans. While something of a surprise, the flavors worked well together. The pork loin was a little bland, but the rest of the flavors were nice. We enjoyed sitting downstairs with the rustic look and a view of... More

Worst fish soup ever, tasteless bull steak, do not recommend. Not good value for money, tiny restaurant and a rather crammed feeling. The waitress started moving tables around for the next day before diners had finished eating.

We had dinner here and wished we hadn't. The food was terrible to put it mildly. We had the set dinner menu, ice cold fois gras pate to start, the fish tagine was indedible it was so sweet...tasted awful. They only have one loo and it was blocked, totally disgusting.

The Restaurant has a tiny downstairs with an open kitchen, and a slightly larger room on the second floor. Ambiance is very rustic, stone walls and big corner fireplace (used as a service stand). The "Gardiane de Taureau", a great local dish in this part of the country, was presented in a very original way (it's usually just served as... More

We dined in the small front room beside the open kitchen and luckily arrived early without a reservation, since the place filled up quickly. Welcoming service, family run, nobody giving a second glance as a couple of patrons brought their dogs in with them. We had baked oysters, bull steak, and gambas, all beautifully presented and delicious. A most pleasant... More

This is a beautiful, small restaurant with great and attentive service and wonderful wine and food options, including the classic "gardenier" (beef bourguignon) which is highly recommended. The creme brulee is amazing.
