We returned to La Mas de la Forge for two nights and two dinners at La Telline. This visit was even better than our first, last year. How these people serve lunch and dinner, maintain a top quality chambre d'hote, provide a generous breakfast boggles the mind. When do they sleep? Every plate at both dinners was perfectly sources and... More

The food is really good. The Dorade was wonderful and the chocolate gateaux divine. Everything was perfect, until we went to pay. The owner gave us the bill and, while we were beginning doing her compliments about place and food, she left us in the middle of conversation to go and talk to someone else she knew better. We remained... More

We drove around for ages trying to find the restaurant and when we arrived were rather worried to find no cars in the car park. We walked through the deserted garden to the back door and knocked. We were welcomed through by I believe the owners and were advised that the one other table for lunch had cancelled! We decided... More

fortunate to be staying at Mas de la Forge, and to have this restaurant at the end of the garden. Lovely regional food, in simple somewhat quirky surroundings. Food was both simple (dorade, camargue rice, salads, local wine) and exquisite - amuse bouches. Prices a little high, but this is a good place to be.

Since Chez Juju closed down in Beauduc, a legendary restaurant with an incredible history, La Telline is the best of the camargue's restaurants. I was in ares for the feria de paques and to start off the festival in Arles, a trip deep into the real camargue is a must. The decor perfect with an open hearth fire, the images... More

La Telline is what one always hopes to find but seldom does: an intimate dining room, far from tourist crowds, whose passionate owners offer the highest quality and freshest local products, simply but perfectly prepared and served with joy. The namesake telline are an outstanding starter, as was lentil salad with marrow bone. Fish, supplied by the owner's family of... More

We had a perfect lunch in La Telline last week-end. It was actually one of the best lunches in my entire life. Food was great, local cuisine, high quality, yet with surprising flavors. Everything from apperetof to desert was above expectations. Nice interior completes the story. Very good service. Would love to visit this place once again and certainly recommend... More

As owners of a nearby B&B / Chambres d'Hôtes (mentioned but wrongly spelt in the italien review), we have eaten here at least a dozen times over 4 years and sent hundreds of customers, all without exception have found it very good or excellent. Some find it expensive, others not, others cheap so here a little explanation. It really depends... More

Not cheap but a wonderful small restaurant run by the chef-owner and his wife. Beautifully decorated so that it is intimate and warm and classy at the same time. Would be very good romantic booking! We had steaks from the local bulls which were done over the wood fire. The fish was also really excellent. There was a good wine... More
