Lovely dinner

The owner of a coffee shop recommended this restaurant to us and we were not disappointed. It is small, quaint, and has a lovely decor and ambiance. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. We checked out Rick Steves' guidebook for an Arles restaurant street and were pointed to rue du Docteur Fanton for numerous choices. As it turned out, though, only a couple were open for lunch. We chose Les Filles du 16. What a lucky choice. There were only a few diners, so the pace was wonderfully relaxed. Service was attentive and... More

Were recommended this restaurant and we were not disappointed. Went as soon as they opened at 7, not fashionable but no problem getting a seat. Had the local dish of bull meat, very good. One of our nicest dinners in France

Lovely restaurant as recommended by our landlady. Easy to find in the centre of Arles. Our table had been boooked for 8pm but we were rather early so we asked if we could eat earlier - it wasnt a problem. The food was freshly cooked to order and well presented. Would definitely recommend it

The name of this restaurant refers simply to the street address being the number 16. It is in Old Arles, which is a maze of pedestrian streets. We ate here on our first night in France on the recommendation of our inn owner. The staff was 100% female and very accommodating. The room is small but charming. We had a... More

This restaurant has a lovely ambience and very good food. My duck was cooked perfectly, though others might like it a little more 'blue'. It was very succulent. My wife had the beef stew which she thoroughly enjoyed. Service was attentive without being pushy and we had a good relaxed meal.

I had lunch here one day while staying in Arles. The service was good, friendly and the food was nice, if unremarkable: I had duck breast, and the cafe gourmand. A couple of gripes though: They had wine in half litre and full-sized bottles - I asked if there was a quarter litre pichet and they said no, and there... More

The food at the restaurant is very delicious. I had a pan-seared bass and it was really flavourful. The foie-gras was also very delicious, even though I'm not a huge fan of it in general. Service was attentive and kind. The only downside to this restaurant is it is a bit pricey so be prepared to pay a bit more.... More

We had arrived in the afternoon on the train from Paris and wanted a good meal. Outside dining preferred, but a pleasant atmosphere (more than a cafe) with a solid dinner the goal. We did our perfunctory Tripadviser review of the restaurants in the area and decided to take a walk around. The "16" stood out immediately. Small, bright, and... More
