Tourist Trap. Avoid this restaurant. The place is unsanitary, the food is overpriced and of poor quality. As for drinks we regrettably had to pay EUR 6.50 for a glass of coke..it's day light robbery. A real shame that a venue made famous by Van Gogh was used to rip off customers in such a bad way..

While our food (lunch) was fairly good, we paid quite a bit extra for sitting at this restaurant. Using the Van Gogh theme, it is really a tourist trap with slow service. Unfortunately we were also treated to the noise of power washing on the building next door as well as the delivery of furniture nearby. We would have been... More

This whole place is gross! Tables, seats, everything is dirty. There was a looooooong hair tangled in my salad. They don't accept cards, some of the worse service I have had. Simply a terrible experience, DO NOT EAT HERE!

I agree with all the other comments about the negative aspects of this restaurant: poor service, surly waiter, overpriced, etc. Still, for us, this was a thrill to have a coffee at the same café depicted in Van Gogh's "Le Café Terrace at Night", and I was happy to put up with the negative aspects. It made for a great... More

Dirty, burnt food, extremely overpriced drinks, much better to try places down the side streets. Do not take credit cards but do not tell you this until you try to pay. Horrible place, avoid at all costs.

the place was dirty, the toilets did not have paper, they did not accept credit cards, the food was under the quality expected because this restaurant is not cheap and the service was made by a waiter that did not behave as one.

We went there because it is the Cafe Van Gogh used to frequently visit and it is featured in several of his paintings .. so yes it is a must see .. maybe take a picture as well .. but their are many other establishments that you will enjoy much more if it is coffee or a meal you are... More

Wish I had read Trip Advisor before eating here. Just awful.....worst meal in France in years. Serving up dry fish, steak that tasted like old bull, and staff conveniently not speaking English when you try to complain. So bad that it will be forever memorable!!

This was by far the worst restaurant service we have had in France. The food was ok, once it eventually arrived after about 45 minutes- as it was just 2 salads, one would think it would be quicker. The staff ignored us and didn't seem at all bothered when we complained, both in French and in English
