Good meal

Excellent scallops, beautifully presented, friendly staff, no reservation necessary in October, tables a little squashed

Hotman (his real name) and Marion were wonderful hosts! I enjoyed the seafood linguine but I enjoyed the attention of the owner and his superior server immensely! We joked with them and they were so engaging! You need to check this place out!

i chose this restaurant based on earlier ratings and must say that i was disappointed. entree ok, plat principal poor. wrong wine served. i cannot recommend this place but i admit that in the centre of aix it is difficult to find an alternative that does not have the tourist-one-time-guest approach...

This was the only restaurant we visited twice whilst holidaying in Aix en Provence. The first time we booked after reading the reviews on here; the second time we forgot and had to wait an hour for a table- but it was still worth it. The waiter and maitre de (?) were charming and responded to humorous asides in bad... More

Had a very good time here, it's tucked in a narrow pedestrian cobbled street, tables close to each other but didn't feel claustrophobic. The amusing and smiling waiter explained the menu in detail, and the food was delicious. The passage is quite busy as well, so ideal for people-watching too.

Not busy when we went but according to TA need to book which we did. Waiter very helpful and attentive. Menu in French but he explained well. My duck served on unusual skewer with delicious honey sauce and potatoes on side. Son declared fillet steak beautiful and husband's seafood linguine a big tick. Too full for dessert but those we... I found that most of the restaurants in this neighborhood are higher priced than they should be and very touristy but what else can you expect since that is what the neighborhood is. That being the case, this was our best meal in this neighborhood. Our waiter could not have been nicer and helped us through the menu and wine... More

This restaurant was recommended by a concierge in the hotel who recommended an outstanding one the night before. We read the wonderful reviews on trip advisors but found this to be the worst meal of our trip. The waiters were ok did not know the wine list. Both of our dishes - specials of the day - were recommended by... More

We ate here tonight. This is our third evening in Aix, and our 13th in France (on this trip). We had a very fine experience. We didn't make a reservation because we were traveling to Avignon today and didn't know when we'd be back. We got there around 8PM. The host asked us if we'd made reservations and I thought... More

We stayed in Aix for 2 weeks and sampled about 10 of the restaurants in town. I would rank this one at the bottom for its class of restaurant. Our waiter was very unskilled. One of our party ordered a salad and an entree, asking that the salad come first so that he could share it. It was served with... More
