Some of the best service in an Italian restaurant I've ever had. They really wanted you as customers! Nothing fancy, just good, proper Italian cooking. Nice marinated vegetables and no problem to share a pizza. Thicker pizza crust than I would normally choose, but so delicious - shows what you can do with plain simple ingredients. Just wish the mixed... More

Thank you very much for your kind words Madame. It seems that the only problem were the bottles of oil and balsamic so, if the cuisine was more ok, it's not a real big problem, right? ;-) best regards, Sandro GROSSI More

Sandro and his wife are wonderful hosts. Being from Arizona and not speaking French, we could not have been in better hands. The pizzas, pastas and salads were great and the wines were all well priced. We loved it so much that we returned the next night !! I only hope that Sandro moves to Sedona and opens a sister... We ate at Dal Gladiator on a Sunday night and enjoyed it so much that we returned on our last night in Aix. The first night I called and left a message about a reservation - I only had my USA cell number and left that thinking I would not hear back. Within 10 minutes the owner called back! Sandro... More

Very friendly and personal service. We had pizzas and salads, the cesars menu. Salads were fresh and pizzas crispy with simple clear tast of choise. The place is small so it was good to make a reservation. The neighboring tables had great looking dishes like saltimbocca alla romana.

Sunday evening....tried it based on TA reviews. We were not disappointed. Gracious, warm host and staff. We sat downstairs under the old stone walls - splendid atmosphere. We shared the antipasto which was delicious. My husband had the chicken milanese and raved about it. I had the Amalfi pizza which was wonderful. Tiramisu for dessert. Everything about this dining experience... More

I enjoyed the pizza here as much as the best pizza I ever ate in Italy! They prepare it using the traditional methods, peeled, sweet tomatoes, real mozzarella di bufalo, and they allow the dough to rise for 72 hours before cooking it. The owner is really warm and inviting and clearly takes a lot of pride in his food.... More

The owner gave us some really good advice to ensure we enjoyed our meal. Loved the lasagne al pesto in particular.

We tried it once because of Trip Advisor reviews, and liked it so much we went back. We let Sandro, the owner, choose everything for us on our 2nd visit. He told us we would have the best lasagna we've ever had, and he was right. Get the 4-cheese lasagna; you will LOVE it!

This small neighborhood restaurant is a gem. The folks running it are transplanted Southern Italians. Make reservations. Listen to the owner-waiter who describes the specials and makes excellent recommendations. I had the lasagna a la pesto. Light and delicious. You won't go wrong. We went April 2014.
