Proper cooking

We went on two successive nights to Le Bouddin. The first time we both had steak, which was cooked exactly as we asked (one 'saignant', one 'a point'). You have choice of three sauces, and the option of frites or dauphinois potatoes. The second time we had the three-course special (24 euro). All... read more

The food was alright. But we were kept waiting 30mins for our dessert (the waitress had forgotten it)and had to repeat our requests for water and the bill. Service was a hit and miss - the more mature lady was decidedly friendlier and more prompt

We selected this Bistro for our final meal in Aix as it gave us a change of scenery at the other end of town in a pleasant square. We both had formula dinners which were very good. The service was fine and there were no communication issues.

We stopped for a quick lunch at Le Bouddoir today and sat out on the patio. It was very nice and the service was very good too. We had salads and a glass of wine.... Not much can go wrong and it didn't. I think this is a good place for lunch and I'd be willing to try it for... More

Go, it's delicious! Lemon pie was out of this world. In a busy area with many other restaurants, but when we saw what others were eating we picked this one and we were glad we did.

Very good french food, with an italian twist. I had the lamb shoulder slow cooked on mashed potatos and it was very good. Very tasty and the food came out exceptionally fast. Would I say it is the best food I have ever eaten? No, probably not. But it was very good and the location is exquisite.

The food was excellent. Really typical French bistro type of cuisine. And in a beautiful location on a nice square with a beautiful fountain . Honestly everything you could possibly want when in the south of France. Our server barely spoke English and was quite rude. He often ignored us and seemed annoyed when we would ask for more water.... More

Our first experience in this restaurant was so nice that we returned again. We found the wait staff very polite and attentive. Their English was also good. We had a very nice enjoyable meal of good food. The location is off the beaten path a little in a nice little square, so that it's not as busy with people walking... More

Visited with family, relatively easy to find room for 4 adults +child +baby outdoors. English not their strength, but trying and managed OK. Vegetarian possible for some of us, my knuckle of lamb was very good. Better value than all those of the main square, and more peaceful. On balance perhaps the old town in general not the best place... More

I've been twice to this restaurant. The location is very nice, on a nice square with other restaurants. The menu has a good choice, the "a la carte" offers 3 dishes. Each dish that I have tried is fresh, well presented, good quantity. The service could be a bit more friendly, but it's ok. We didn't want to order a... More
