Lovely, cozy little restaurant offering simple, traditional French provincial food. Prices are very reasonable. Service is provided by a very busy waiter, who if cheerful and friendly. I would definitely make this a go to restaurant in Aix. The salade gésier is wonderful.

A small cosy restaurant run by 2 persons, a chef and a waiter. Good food with very affordable price. We ordered the gizzard salad that so good that the gizzard tasted like duck confits. We ordered their 3 plats dinner course that tasted very delicious. The waiter was very attentive. We really had a good time dining there. Will highly... More

On a recent trip to Aix I asked for a recommendation for dinner at my hotel having arrived late in the evening. Luckily I was advised to eat at Comte d'Aix. As a lone traveller sometimes one feels very 'alone' from the attitude of staff at restaurants but I was welcomed from the outset and the evening began. I did... More

I dined here for a business meeting in mid February 2015. Its true there is a limited menu here, but the quality, IMO, was very good. I believe from reading other reviews, and my own experience seemed to confirm it, that its a small family operation, and the son was able to explain the menu in English. I had the... More

My wife and I have eaten in this restaurant a number of times over the past few years and it is always very good, but recently we found some other restaurants we prefer a bit better. I would really like to give it a 3.7 rating. This is not an expensive restaurant and the portions are accordingly a little smaller... More

After 2 unremarkable dinners in Aix, we were able to have a lovely meal at this gem! Small Le Comte d'Aix provided a delightfully traditional French dinner for our party of three. We enjoyed warm squid salad, entrees of duck, lamb and sea bass on the menu for 18.5 Euro each which included choice of dessert (we chose a pleasing... More

What a superb meal, starting with the squid, with a second of duck/lamb and finishing off with the mousse. And it's a two man show, the chef and the person serving....with a smile and so helpful. Well done!! It shows they love what their work.

There are hundreds of places to eat in Aix so it's not easy to choose - especially as many of them are touristy and expensive. But hunt around and you can discovers places like Le Comte. Only a few hundred yards off the beaten track is this little gem. A three course set menu at only 18 euros was perfect.... More
