Great value, lovely food

This is a really lovely little restaurant. An imaginative small menu with a great value and unfussy wine list. Excellent ambience and lovely service. Everything we ordered was beautifully cooked and portions were generous. We sat upstairs near the window and watched the world go by . A very... read more

The wines and the food was just average. We were seated downstairs, and maybe because of that, the service was painfully slow. Note that the ceiling and the walls downstairs are non-treated, open brick walls, so throughout the evening, stone was crumbling in our food! Will not return.

My friend and I had dinner here a few days ago. It's a small charming restaurant with friendly efficient staff. The food was delicious particularly the pork dish we both selected. The desserts were also really good. I drank a local red wine which was enjoyable. I suggest you make a reservation

The restaurant has changed its menu for lunch. Now it's at 28 EUR for the lunch menu (entrée, plat, dessert) with no choices. The price/quality ratio is not good. I've never tried dinner there. I used to enjoy the lunch there since it's made from fresh ingredients, the menu lunch menu changes every week and there are usually 2 choices... More

The meal and service were excellent and a great value. Everything my husband and I ate that evening was delicious and you definitely will not go wrong dining there. A good sign was that the night we were there it was filled with French people, more than half. The place is not large so definitely make a reservation.

English menu available. Need a reservation for dinner. Sat outside in a relatively quiet alleyway. Service was polite, efficient, with just the right amount of attention to not be overbearing and always with a pleasant smile. Food was excellent - 3 in party had pork dish, beef and chicken dishes and no one was disappointed.

Food was delicious and so was the wine. Staff is very friendly and we were served quickly considering the time. I had the pork and my wife had the black ink risotto. We were both very pleased by the food. Coffee was good as well, which is not something common in such restaurant which often neglect the tast of a... More

It was our first meal in Aix and we booked in advance. Good thing because a lot of people were turned away. Reasonable price but no children's menu. The service may seem to be slow to Brits and other people but probably on par with French. Overall good experience and wine not expensive. The staff were fluent in English which... More

After just two days in Aix I've concluded that finding somewhere to eat in this town in summer is a challenge! We'd picked out a few highly rated places from TripAdvisor but on each occasion we arrived there to find a dark and dingy place that we just couldn't convince ourselves it was worth entering on a sunny evening. We... More

This is a brasseries set in the old town of Aix. It has a reasonable 3 course menu and divine wine (it is also a cave). The dishes were beautifully presented and service very friendly. I had scallops to start and beef fillet die main. My husband had the fois gras which was served in a brioche. The reason that... More
