Lovely meal

My partner and I booked a table at this restaurant on a Wednesday evening. We asked to sit outside, which was preferable to sitting in the downstairs alcove in the middle of summer. We went in May and was not having any luck with lunch here. Perhaps we arrived too late ( 1 pm ).... the today's special was sold out, and we had to settle with fewer choices left. Certainly very average food, see my photos. Very unlike the pictures posted on tripadvisor.

Read about it on trip adviser. It was close to our hotel so we decided to try it out. Made a reservation same afternoon and went thinking that we would have a so and so meal, but instead we had a superb 3 course meal. Foig gras as entree and duck as main dish are must try... Almost comparable to... More

What a great find ! We were lucky to get a table at this wonderful restaurant without a reservation. Set in a beautiful little street, very central but quiet, far enough from the main tourist streets and squares. Everything we ordered from starter, main dishes and desert was simply delicious ! Fresh Mediterranean Sea food with an excellent wine list... More

Our B&B host also recommended this restaurant and made the reservations - definitely book ahead! The food was excellent. The service was wonderful. Definitely enjoy if you will be in Aix for a night!

This little restaurant in a quite road in Aix en Provence is truly what great French food is all about - Delicious, exciting, fun. We went for lunch - we had booked the day before as last year when we tried on the day it was full. The cooking was perfectly balanced: One starter had crisp green beans, juicy clams,... More

We had our last and most memorable meal in Aix at this restaurant, funnily enough on the same street where we had our apartment rental. My co diners are quite fussy about their food-and not one of us was disappointed from the get go. The restaurant on street level is tiny, with an alfresco option, however, there is more seating... We spent one evening in the Alcôve since it was recommended by our B&B host. We definitely did not regret our choice since the food was just excellent. As a matter of fact, it was the best food we had in Aix, the price quality ratio is excellent.

A fantastic restaurant, we loved it so that we went the next day again :-) especially the ravioli with gamba's (with the dried tomatoe). The owner was very friendly and attendfull. The main course is also very tastefull. Excellent dishes for very reasonable price! A very very good restaurant that I certainly advice everyone else.
