Made reservations here based on all the great TA reviews. The staff and service was great, switching to English after hearing my poor French and offering us Menus in English. We each had the three-course menu along with a bottle of wine. The wine was really good, and the presentation of the food was nice as well. Unfortunately, the quality/taste... More

Visited with my daughter in April for dinner. It was a chilly evening, therefore were were disappointed not to be able to sit outside and enjoy the ambience of the square. Inside tables were cramped and it felt very intrusive when the restaurant was full, tables are very close to one another, therefore if this bothers you, don't go or... More

We visited this restaurant after taking a look at various different reviews from TA. Although, it was not ranked within top 10 (ie. 11th ranked when I reviewed it), I gave it a try since most of the reviews that I have read were quite impressive. We booked a table for 2 pax at 7:30pm and were greeted by the... More

We dined at Le Poivre D'Ane based on a recommendation from a waitress at a French restaurant in Sydney. She was spot on! We dined at one of the tables on the square, the ambiance of an evening there is just beautiful. Super efficient wait staff. We had the three course menu, the tiramisu was on of the best I've... I ate here with my wife and 2 school-aged children. We ended up getting the menu. Several of the dishes were creative, and even playful, which made it a treat even for the kids. Many of the tables were couples having a nice meal out, but the staff made me and my family feel very welcome. It was slightly pricey... More

My husband and I were staying in a bed and breakfast in a suburb of Aix-en-Provence, but wanted to go into the city for dinner. Based on the fantastic TripAdvisor reviews, we visited Le Poivre D'Ane for dinner. The first night we did not have a reservation and luckily we got a table because I would highly recommend making reservations.... More

This restaurant is one of around 30 that crowd this touristy square in Aix. We ended up here following the Lonely Planet guide and what a great choice it turned out to be! There isn't much place to sit on the inside and we took an outside table. The decor and setting (on the outside) was excellent. Occasionally you could... More
