Nice spot to sit but average food

Food is not overly impressive and it's overpriced but you need to expect that anytime you sit in one of these out in the plaza restaurants. The food isn't the main show, it's being able to sit outside in Aixe and watch the crowd go by. After spending more time in the area, I found many other places... read more

We ate here last night and both the ravioli spinach & ricotta and the shrimp/pea bow tie pasta was awful. Service was okay only because they brought our check quickly when asked. Both pasta sauces were tasteless, oily and very watery. The shrimp in my dish was microscopic and they still only had 5-6 shrimp that were smaller than a... More

We've been traveling in France for a couple of weeks and got to Aix last evening. Today was our first day and my husband put up with my desire to do the markets. It was a little past 1:00 and we've had a couple of days when our choice were limited by our tardiness to decide it was lunch time... More

I know what you're thinking, more pasta? In Aix? It can't possibly be true! But for a change this is a place where pasta is prepared rather than served from a box or a packet. There is a great variety for all tastes and the food is very delicious, every time although the waiters never seem to get any nicer.... More

Service was delivered without a single smile by a manager (owner?) who was clearly not interested in our enjoyment of the food, probably because he knows we know he's just running a tourist trap and trying to make a fast buck. Penne salsiccia arrived without any taste: Pasta unsalted, tomato sauce more water than tomato and a few half-baked pieces... More

We had been several weeks traveling in France and decided it would be nice for a change in our diet. We decided on Italian and this turned out to be a very good choice. I had the Salade Caprese, & Lasagne Bolognaise, my spouse had the Gnocchi Bolognaise. To drink Rge 37SCL Bandol and coffee. The price was 61 Euros,... More

My wife and I were staying a few blocks away at the Aquabella, and found the Prima Pasta quite by accident. We actually found the Forum des Cardeurs which had many promising indoor/outdoor restaurants spread around this very charming old square. We were greatly rewarded by one of the best dining experiences in quite some time, with the quality of... More

Friendly staff. Great salads and pastas. Lunch time deal super value - two courses for about 15 euros. Always good value and never make you wait long. Need to book if you want a table for lunch in summer. Great terrace for dining in summer.
