An excellent menu and meal, well presented in its appearance and delightful to eat. Staff are great and with a few gestures we were able to make ourselves understood with our very limited French - their English is much better by comparison! Would I go there again - definitely, would I recommend it - absolutely!

There are so many places to eat in Poitiers and we were only there for one night. We chose this place as the menu looked okay for us as we are vegetarians (fish eating). We were offered a choice of tables and there was a vast choice in menu. We paid around 50 euros for a 3 course meal for... More

There are many restaurants in the centre and this is one of many. The decor is goo , the restaurant well lit and clean. We were a large group and of around 15 people and we had an inefficient and uncooperative waiter who spoiled the entire restaurant experience. We placed our orders and then he came back to inform that... More

I was going to eat at Vingelique but changed my mind as they did not open until 2000 and it was 1900. So I looked at the menu outside Le Bis and decided it was worth a try. I had the €27 Bis menu. I started with a pancake of smoked salmon followed by ravioli of langoustines and then a... More

My wife and I ate here as part of a journey to the Algarve. If, like us, you are English speaking tourists, don't worry about this place as they will try very hard to translate the menu for you. Very friendly and knowledgable about menu. Good choice and some reasonable prices. Don't worry about asking for tap water as they... More

Visited Poitiers for the weekend and read reviews of several restaurants beforehand; Le Bis was the 2nd rated, so amongst others we checked it out. Looked quite cool inside with a concise but interesting menu displayed. We got a table easily enough and from the moment we sat down, were very well treated. The evening just got better and better,... More

The centre of Poitiers is full of pizza cafe's etc but Le Bis is very clean in a contemporary decor style and serves very elegant food, sea food being their speciality. It is what I call a proper restaurant with an agreeable ambience. The staff are very professional, well presented and the food and wine were very good. We spent... More
