Light, delicious and perfectly presented by a delightful team of young servers.

Several locals, including our hostess at La Maison de Marc, recommended this restaurant highly, and we were not disappointed. As the evening was cool, we chose to sit inside but the room was enchanting with its Tiepolo-inspired glass ceiling and comfortable banquettes. We both began with the cold fresh asparagus and orange served with quickly sautéed langoustine tails--exquisiite combination of... More

I went into this restaurant because of the menu du jour displayed outside looked very tempting. I was not disappointed. The service was excellent, the staff were courteous and you can tell they work as a team - there was no split of who waits which table. The taste and presentation of the food were exquisite. I had the small... More

We were seated in the quiet courtyard. The food was incomparably delicious. We were told that if we wanted mille feuille for dessert, we should order it at the time of our main order because preparing it would take 20 minutes. Puzzling? Well, you have never had a mille feuille as good as this one.

First of all this restaurant is in a good location so if you are travelling by car there is ample parking space at a public car park 2 mins walking distance from the restaurant. The restaurant is easy on the eye and you have a little courtyard at the back if you wish to eat outside. The menu is traditional... More

Walked round the centre of Poitiers on a busy Saturday night, looking for somewhere to eat when we stumbled on this restaurant. What a great find.Sat outside in a pretty little courtyard, and had an excellent meal. We ordered the three course menu, but this turned out to be 6 courses.Started with some little nibbles, and this was followed by an "amuse bouche"of lobster bisque... More

This is a great restaurant, took advantage of their lunch menu, it was chicken beautifully done to perfection and dessert was peaches and ice cream. Very reasonable and the service was great.

Very nice food but be warned, the menu apart from the menu de jour is very expensive. We were the only guests stupid enough not to have the set lunch, 93 euro for 2 courses, one aperitif and one glass of wine each was a bit steep for the two of us. The food was excellent and well presented but... More

We were seated in the courtyard next to a 18 foot tower of some antiquity. I noticed carvings of a chained boar, hawks catching fish etc. and when I asked the waiter, he casually mentioned that the Roman arena was near!! After I had fallen off the chair at the casual acceptance of a Roman ruin in the back garden,... More

Vingelique has been my favorite restaurant in Poitiers for many years now, and I have become a patron, visiting at least once every time I stay in Poitiers, which is at least twice a month. The food is always excellent, service is friendly, and the prices still remain reasonable, especially when you have 'l'ardoise du soir', a delicious 3-course menu,... More
