We ate at 4 different restaurants on the Rue St-Jean-du-Pérot in the course of our week stay. I have reviewed them all on TripAdvisor, but the bottom line is that this was the best (albeit priciest) meal we had. I understand from a dining local that this is one of the independent restaurants on the road, many others being owned... More

Fantastic meal at La Petite Auberge this evening. My husbands sardine and tomato starter had a real zing and my smoked salmon was accompanied by a fresh and very tasty celery and apple remoulade. Main courses of entrecôte and magret were superb. Great atmosphere and a swift turnover of clientele. Festival of Fictional TV on this weekend so we were... More

This place was okay without being startling. My bream was well cooked and I enjoyed the "pain perdu", which was a little unusual. The serving staff were very pleasant and we ate here twice in a week. I would be happy to recommend it

Two visits during this trip to La Rochelle and it was just as good as we remembered. We had not booked the first night so had to get there early because it quickly fills up outside, inside and on the first floor, which tells you something. Selected from the 3 course 29 euro menu and the food was excellent, so... More

We ate at this restaurant several times on a recent holiday in La Rochelle, as we found it to have the most appealing menu and the most consistently high quality, with a pleasant ambience. We tried a number of fish-based starters and mains, all excellent, while the entrecote steak was a delight (served with the fat untrimmed, but in my... More

I ate here twice and enjoyed both meals. The food is traditionally French and the staff were helpful.

A nice restaurant, a nice design and an excellent food. We were 5 persons and everybody was pleased by the quality od the food. And as somebody already said, very good food, nice atmosphere, good service, what more needs to be said?

Didn't book but managed to get a very nice table outside. Great atmosphere & service, the staff managed to arrive with the food on time throughout the evening despite being extremely busy. The food was very good & well presented , overall a very nice meal.

Another first class evening at the Auberge with special thanks to Eric and especially to Julie and the team for looking after us. We booked a table for 4 on the first floor and enjoyed excellent food and service including scallops, lobster and beef. The Auberge is always on our list of places to eat when we are over in... More
