Amazing food

In a sea of "mussels and chips" this great little restaurant serves the most amazing cuttlefish, goats cheese and rack of lamb. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely a must visit for wonderfully presented French food that's not over priced.

On a street flooded with restaurants it can be overwhelming to make a decision. But this restaurant stood out with a reasonably priced set menu with some exciting French/European dishes. Great desserts in particular, the lemon meringue tart was the most amazing dish I've had in a long time. Definitely worth a trip for any foodies on holidays in this... More

Just a few hundred metres away from the sea from in a street full of lovely little restaurants. The menu looked good and what we saw of the food and staff was promising. We had cuttlefish and red snapper on bruschetta for starter, both lovely. Mains were a gourmet burger and gambas flambe. Best burger I've had in a long time.... More

We were staying in La Rochelle for 3 nights and were given some recommendations from our host...this being one of them. Tried it on the first night and went back on the third night! We had the set 3 course menu and enjoyed starters of pear and cheese tart and snails and mushrooms. Main courses of duck and steak were... More

On Monday several restaurants we considered were closed. So glad we found this one. It was the best meal I have had in France this past two weeks. The escargot and mushrooms baked pastry were excellent. In La Rochelle everyone is eating fish but tonight i decided on the beef tenderloin. It was great. Usually steaks are quite tough in... More

We had a lovely meal here in mid-April. Both took the 3 course set menu which proved to be exceptional value. Had the local wine which was good and inexpensive. Service was really friendly. Had the snails and mushrooms + Roquefort and pear tart for starters - couldn't fault either and the snails were very good. For mains it was... More

Service with no fuss and professional, pleasant décor with bright but not blinding light, food was the best I had after trying 6 different restaurants in that same area, a little more expensive than some others but well worth it, Would love to go back on my next trip.

This is my go to restaurant in La Rochelle. I make sure to visit for dinner at least once every time I get to this area. The food and service never disappoint. The fixed price options are varied, offering something for every food preference. Their fresh local seafood items are tasty and perfectly prepared. Do not miss their fish soup!

This is a classy little restaurant - we ate outside, it gets very busy quite early in the evening. We had a set meal and all three courses were excellent. The waiter & waitress were very attentive throughout the meal. My daughter and her family dined there a few days later and also enjoyed it immensely .

We ate at 4 different restaurants on the Rue St-Jean-du-Pérot in the course of our week stay. I have reviewed them all on TripAdvisor, but the bottom line is that this was the best (albeit priciest) meal we had. I understand from a dining local that this is one of the independent restaurants on the road, many others being owned... More
