We ate at this restaurant several times on a recent holiday in La Rochelle, as we found it to have the most appealing menu and the most consistently high quality, with a pleasant ambience. We tried a number of fish-based starters and mains, all excellent, while the entrecote steak was a delight (served with the fat untrimmed, but in my... More

I ate here twice and enjoyed both meals. The food is traditionally French and the staff were helpful.

A nice restaurant, a nice design and an excellent food. We were 5 persons and everybody was pleased by the quality od the food. And as somebody already said, very good food, nice atmosphere, good service, what more needs to be said?

Didn't book but managed to get a very nice table outside. Great atmosphere & service, the staff managed to arrive with the food on time throughout the evening despite being extremely busy. The food was very good & well presented , overall a very nice meal.

Another first class evening at the Auberge with special thanks to Eric and especially to Julie and the team for looking after us. We booked a table for 4 on the first floor and enjoyed excellent food and service including scallops, lobster and beef. The Auberge is always on our list of places to eat when we are over in... More

We had a recommendation of this restaurant from the hotel Champlain and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and the waiter made a good effort to offer the menus and explained them in English. The selection of wine was great and all was reasonably priced in general. A three course meal without drinks came to just under 30Euros... More

My familiy and I went here for diner on a saturday. The restaurant was packed and many people were sent away... so if possible make resevations and ask for a table on the first floor, since the atmosphere here is a little more cozzy. For 29€ we all had starters, main course and desert. Long story short: All of it... More

Situated in a busy restaurant area but make time for this place! We were late for lunch but they were still very welcoming and served up an excellent meal from the 22 euro menu. Fixed price menus can often be restricted in choice, but not here - the 4 of us had entirely different lunches but all equally impressed.

This year, it happened I am in France again for my B'day and I am in La Rochelle so decided to go back and amazed me again. Love the food from starter (banana cake + foie gras), main entress (Sea Bass) to the dessert (Waffle). Everything is GREAT! Highly Recommend if you are wondering where to enjoy a French meal!
