Great restaurant with fantastic service

We ate here with two children (no kids' menu) which we thought would be a problem. However, they both ate a la carte (steak and brochettes de magret)without a problem. Adults had the set menu at 19,50 - great value although steak could have been better. Desserts were delicious and the wine list was... read more

Good food but quite low service although personnel is nice. We are tartar lovers and here we had a salmon tartar with cucumber instead of avocado (not a good idea in my opinion..), and a steak tartare mixed with a "mayonese" sauce that made the whole dish a little bit cloying. The sizes are very good, in fact we recommend... More

Excellent set priced menu with a good choice. Very well run with friendly efficient service. Traditional cuisine. Among the best mid- priced restaurants we have found in La Rochelle, return visit.

Very good service - nice bottle of Cahors. Starters of fish soup was superb. Tuna carpaccio was also good. Steak was cooked to perfection and very flavourful ( but no veg ? ) The duck was also very good, and desserts were ok. A good meal for around 90 euros for two.

First of all you should definetly give La Rochelle and its surroundings a try if you plan for a visit in France. It's got so much character and amazing beaches and connections. We wanted to eat our last meal in La Rochelle in a nice place that makes justice for the beautiful region and decided to give La Petite Auberge... More

So many restaurants to choose from in La Rochelle you are spoilt for choice, we chose to dine just off the harbour area and this restaurant is sited well given you can enjoy your meal out-side but sheltered from the sun, four of us decided on the chef's lunch board which from starter to dessert was well presented and very... We were attended too promptly, given a comfortable table for two and menu produced quickly. One chicken dish and one beef dish, both very good. Drinks served relatively quickly but had to ask for one which seemed to have been forgotten, but was presented quickly once reminder and with an apology. I would happily eat here again, the over all... More

In a sea of "mussels and chips" this great little restaurant serves the most amazing cuttlefish, goats cheese and rack of lamb. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely a must visit for wonderfully presented French food that's not over priced.

On a street flooded with restaurants it can be overwhelming to make a decision. But this restaurant stood out with a reasonably priced set menu with some exciting French/European dishes. Great desserts in particular, the lemon meringue tart was the most amazing dish I've had in a long time. Definitely worth a trip for any foodies on holidays in this... More

Just a few hundred metres away from the sea from in a street full of lovely little restaurants. The menu looked good and what we saw of the food and staff was promising. We had cuttlefish and red snapper on bruschetta for starter, both lovely. Mains were a gourmet burger and gambas flambe. Best burger I've had in a long time.... More
