Savoury and stylish

Very nice food with an Italian touch, great ambiance but not always easy to get a table. Not the cheapest but a real treat for a special meal.

I was invited for lunch with friends on a Tuesday lunchtime, and knowing that generally French restaurants can't improvise a veggie dish, I gave them a couple of days warning that iI was coming. On the day the maitre d' reassured me that he'd had me in mind all week end. By this time I was getting excited. What he... More

Situated near the market and a little way from the main tourist restaurant areas, we were pleased to find La Cuisine de Jules to be both welcoming and to serve delicious food. The chef dealt well with our last minute request for changes to our order and Anne, our hostess for the evening, was friendly, spoke English very well and... More

Having had 2 excellent meals there 2 years ago our meal this year was mixed - seafood starters super, but the stock used for my lobster risotto was VERY over reduced, making it unpleasant to eat, and within 15 minutes I was sick. Though I spoke to the chef, he just apologized and said others had eaten it at lunchtime... More

Far from the Harbor and the touristy place, you will find in this place an authentic cuisine with local fresh product as it is rare to find in those day. Great wine selection and excellent value for money. A special thank to our Maitre D : Anne

Lovely, sophisticated place just off the bustling market. The staff are all charming and spoke both French/English. The risotto with summer truffles was worth going back for. No kids menu but the chef improvised for us with white fish and mashed potatoes. Worth the money.

Food was really good, particularly recommend the risotto. However the service was extremely slow. I overheard the waitress telling someone that the reason for which was because one if the chefs was off sick. Whilst I understand that that this happens from time to time they should either have a contingency plan, or maybe warn people as they order regarding... More

This restaurant is modern, sparkling and delightful. The food was good too. We had a very enjoyable meal that was well presented and beautifully cooked. I believe my husband found it in the Michelin Guide and we looked for it .. almost, but not quite hidden down a side street. Instantly recognisable by its signature purple and gray façade. well... This was a recommendation from some foodie French friends who had eaten here the previous week while on holiday. It is a small bright modern restaurant that was busy and turning away diners, booking is advised. We opted for the €28 menu this gave us a limited choice but we still had three delicious courses that managed to cater for all... Having found Le Thiers Temps (Tripadvisor's #1 rated restaurant) to be full, we ended up going across the road to Jules. It was a rainy night and at that stage shelter rather than culinary excellence was our number one priority. My first impression of the bistro was that it was a few notches too bright for my liking. Consisting of... More
