Truly dreadful meal. Steaks with huge wadges of fat sat on slimy pools of blue cheese. Fish courses were better, but not much. The restaurant itself looked grimy. Have been to La Rochelle many times before but luckily never to this restaurant.

Our waiters spoke little French but were super helpful, this didn't stop us having a delightful dinner! We had half a dozen oysters each followed by mussels 'a la rochelle' with curry and saffron sauce, and frites of course, absolutely delicious! Coupled with some crisp cold rose and some sparkling wine the whole meal came to 50 euros so not... More

I hadn't been there for - say - 15 years if not more... We looked around the harbour, then tried a few more streets... Everything looked... More

I have to say that I did not eat there because we had a pushchair and despite some available table the owner did not want to serve us. On this basis I cannot recommend such a place. The food looked ok in peoples plates. Mainly mussels.

This is a bit away from the main restaurant streets, but only by a few minutes. It has a short menu concentrating on seafood and was very good value. It seemed to be used b people who wanted to eat well but not expensively. I would epect that reservations would be required at weekends and during the torist season.
