Went en famille to this excellent restaurant. Cant give it enough praise. Enjoyable top class food ina top class restaurant with none of the stuffiness you sometimes get in such places. Couldn't fault any aspect. To be visited without doubt.

We picked this from Tripadvisor for our blow out special lunch in La Rochelle and were not disappointed. The service is impeccable, if I had any comment it would be that they are not used to holiday makers who do not understand the whole wine list business and I would have liked more time before being asked to order an... Great experience. At first glance each item on the menu looks - well - busy. There is a lot going on combining different tastes, spices, herbs and notes from many different cuisines. Done badly and it would have been another fusion horror, but here the kitchen genuinely knows how to put tastes together. Also nice wine list. Not cheap but... More

We visited this restaurant based mainly on its appearance. It's modern and French Brazilian fusion also appealed to is as something very different! The waiters were friendly, helpful and very happy to speak English. The food was very good, but about fair for the price. We would return, but after trying some other eateries first!

This restaurant was quite a mixed experience. The menu was of Antigua that evening and was very different. The execution of the dishes was quite good. The service was I felt was not so much formal as very 'clipped'. Wine list was quite expensive. However what was unforgiveable was being asked if we wanted water & a bottle of Badoit... More

We had spent four days in La Rochelle and eaten very well at other restaurants in this area of the town, so for our last evening we opted for Le Comptoir - and what a meal it was! The menu was influenced by the cuisine of Martinique (I see from their website that the particular cuisine changes according to the... More

Excellent food, well prepared and presented. We liked the wine advice for each course. OK this was a little pricey, but we got the chance to try different wines with each course, a bit of a gimmick, but what the hell we were on holiday and it made the meal.

Had their lunch menu. Good value for money(in comparison to other nearby restaurants) and some good innovative dishes.. Pickled sardine starter was a good start. However the main of cod and coconut milk risotto was the star. The evening menu based on Martinique looked good also.

My family ate here last week. The food is good, maybe a little 'fine dining' for our kids, but still enjoyable.

This was a very smart restaurant, and one to visit for a special occasion. The food was excellent, with an Asian twist. The wine was too expensive, nothing under 30 euros a bottle and so we opted for a half-bottle at 20 euros. They were happy for our dog to sit under the table and brought him a bowl of... More
