I have been several times over the years in this restaurant and after 4 years paid a return visit for lunch this time. The downstairs restaurant is small with 5 or 6 tables, but I know there's more room upstairs. It might seem a mad thing to do but we love Indian food and we eat it where ever we can when we visit a new place. After a nice welcome and a correctly made starter (Chiken Tandoori and Chicken Korma), accomplished with very good nan bread, we got two mistakes of main courses: My wife ordered Chicken in curry without mentioning the strength, and I ordered Lamb Karahi at madrass strength. Came in to a restaurant where we almost did not dare to speak, a very calm ambiance, even for a romantic dinner. Waited 25 minutes to get a beer that have never seen the fridge. I agree with previous review didn't appear to be anything remotely spicy on the menu ordered lamb vindaloo which was not very hot and the lamb was very chewy, nan very poor and prawns in the other curry we ordered tiny. Disapointing

Dull and uninteresting food for anyone with experience of Indian cuisine.Indifferent service and definitely not cheap.
