We went on the local tourist info recommendation. The 30 Euro menu was okay, but not really worth the money. The seafood starter was good, but the steak was tough and very fatty. The accompanying vegetables were bland and overcooked. Also, couldn't quite work out why we were served a cheese course with butter, but no bread? Service was adequate,... More

We chose the set menu at 30 Euros. The magret de canard was overcooked, not very pink as asked and the steak was more fat and fibre than meat, nicely covered by a local cheese sauce. No air conditioning so it wasn't the most comfortable place to eat. Outside was out of the question as it was raining on and... More

We had the 30 Euro menu and we all chose a first course of scallop and king prawn cassoulet followed by the souris d'agneau. Both were very tasty, especially the starter, but the vegetables with the main course could have been a bit more interesting. The sweets and seperate cheese course were OK, and the house wine was acceptable. What... More

For the second year running we have visited the Le Peche Mignon when in Laon and again we were not disappointed. We managed 3 evenings this year and certainly again enjoyed the €30 4 course menu. Food quality is some of the best we have in France and we feel represents value for money. The staff are always friendly and... More

We had the €30 menu. Food was delicious and service good. Food was different to usual menus in the town. You pay a bit extra but worth it. Central position.

We had a delightful 4 course meal at a 30€ House menu price at this lovely bistro in the ancient town of Laon near Rheims. Great service, family owned and run and fantastic regional fare, every course was perfect and amazing value.

Food is amazing, though pricey. you get what you pay for though! the staff is super friendly, and the location is perfect- right in the middle of the shops ontop of the plateau in Laon. Get the lamb and some dessert!

A great atmosphere, excellent food and wine. We really enjoyed our first visit for an evening meal and went back a second time - we would have gone a third night if we had not booked another restraurant. The sauces really make the meal - the 4 course menu is well worth having. Thank you to Tripadvisor recommendations

I headed here based on web comments. First, the service was impeccable- no problem there- very courteous and professional (one waiter looked like he'd be more likely to be a drummer in a rock band, but he was unfailingly polite). First course was a salad with pieces of duck meat- good, but not amazing. Next was an entrecote; the steak... More
