Word of advice... sit down at 12 midday in France under normal circumstances but most definitely on market day. The 'Formule' is standard: choice of 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts. 11.50€. Many wines in half bottles or 50cl pichets (out of a wine box so be warned). Really excellent service. Only bugbear about sitting outside is the smokers.

says it all in the title, watched a jazz band play as we slowly worked our way through some lovely dishes and an excellent cheese board (served with bread) - why do the English eat crackers with cheese ? its just odd. The last glass of the third bottle of red I drank had something which hurt my a head... More

Well located - a few yards from the Loire, and in a vibrant part of this popular city. The food was very good and the service was equally good. An extensive menu and reasonable prices make it a restaurant well worth visiting.

We stopped in La Bourse for a late lunch at La Bourse. We ordered only appetizers so we weren't looking for an outstanding meal. While the food was no more than we expected, my wife and I both enjoyed being in the company of locals. Two older ladies had occupied a window table before we were seated and continued to... More

We have been going caravanning to France for many years and it used to be top draw for service and food. However several owner's later it is all average. Bit noisy if you eat exterior with traffic right alongside the tables. Not cheap and not dear. Typical place for tourists.

The food and service were both excellent at La Bourse. We liked sitting outside, in the warm evening, people-watching, as we ate dinner. Our waiter was friendly and spoke a little English, which helps put you at ease when your own attempts at French sometimes fail! We'd asked him to order a taxi for us to return to our hotel.... More

Visited La Bourse during our Loire Valley trip- we'd picked out 4/5 from Trip Adviser reviews and this was the best one-open on a rainy monday. Food was very good quality and staff attentive- we'd managed to grab an early table for lunch and by about 1pm became incredibly busy- service didn't seem to deteriorate as a result though. Probably... More

The food was ok but there is much better available at the price in Saumur. Service was slow and irritably delivered and I do hate it when you want to leave and pay and staff studiously avoid you. No more to be said.

We visited this restaurant twice recently once to eat and once to be seated and then forgotten. On both occasions the restaurant was very busy but first time we were seated in a pleasant position and accepted the slow service but on the second we were seated right next to the toilets and we left without eating after waiting a... We ate here this evening, my partner feeling hungry, me not so much. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was tasty and very reasonably priced. He had modules and frites, I had a croque with salad and fries 16.80 euros! Magic! Good atmosphere and great service!
