This was a fun restaurant to eat at, but the food is only average. Huge menu with tapas as well. Good local wines, but a lot of non-local also. Salade gourmand was very good as was crumble of veggies and chorizo. Confit de lapin tasty. Portions quite large. Owner likes to play the showman, while his wife does most of... More

Brilliant, imaginative food at very reasonable prices. Some local dishes, but mostly a mixture of fusion and French classic. Good cellar with really excellent choice of local Saumur wines. Friendly, casual, efficient, tasty.

if you don't enjoy your meal here, don't blame the chef, blame yourself for making a poor choice! It's all good! The only downside (perhaps) is that it is tucked away in a side street down by the river, up towards the big railway bridge. The wine is also good, which always helps. What I remember most, hic, is the outsize... More

Hidden away from the main routes it is worth seeking this restaurant for the wonderful menu that it offers. The dishes are high class, different to other establishments, very wholesome with lovely flavours , it is complimented with attentive staff, has a good wine selection, and is extremely good value.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel owner. We were not disappointed. Very friendly staff, the chef was also walking around the tables talking to customers, great wines, good menu, reasonably priced, Local . What more could you ask for?

A group of 5 adults + 1 toddler, with no reservation and we were treated with incredible hospitality. Our waiter was gracious, helped us select a great local wine and was understanding of our various dietary requests. Food was delicious, and two bottles of wine, 10 tapas, 3 plates, 1 entree, 2 desserts, 4 coffees and some pomme frites for... More

This was the perfect restaurant on a wet day during our stay in Saumur. The owner was delightful and explained all the menu and suggested a local wine to compliment our meals. The lapin was great, wine perfect and the cheese selection sensational. Cosy, local, great uncomplicated regional food. A real find.
